Bro - we had that form because we played Liverpool, City, Woolwich and Chelsea all within 6 games of each other - games we hardly ever win despite the manager - and one of those - everyone wanted to lose anyway!

Agree with you about the rest though - that kind of form is difficult to shake off but I'm hoping we have turned a bit of a corner the last week.... the likelihood is that we haven't as history under this manager has shown, but a boy can dream!!

We were always due to play city, Woolwich and Liverpool as 3 of our last 5 games. When I pointed out our first 10 fixtures were a lot easier than our last 10 people shouted me down.
The consensus was we would be flying by the time we played them and they would be knackered and we would have no European football so be fresh as daisies. Angeball FTW!!

Nobody was saying come the end of the season we will lose to all those teams!

We fell off a cliff. That’s the truth.
City 100%. We all wanted to lose!! I give you that!

This season we really need to just not lose. That’s been an Achilles heel. We win or we lose. We have to just get a point from those sorts of games.

And I think if you looked at the fixtures you mentioned over the last decade Liverpool a, Chelsea a, woolwich H, city H there would be some draws in there too. Not just defeats.
We definitely had a good record of beating Woolwich at home the last 10 years.

I’d be interested to know the last time we lost all 4 in a season anyway. Last season (considering we weren’t in Europe too) was a real anomaly in terms of all losses in my opinion. But maybe I’m living in planet cuckoo land!!

Regarding our setpieces and any improvement....

Sign me up for this game. It could be chaos. It's the Tottenham way.

Much of that chaos could be raining down on Spurs from set pieces.

They still don't care about defending under Ange Postecoglou and they certainly don't care about being strong at defending set pieces. From all their corners faced this season, they are offering up a shot every 0.52 corners which is the worst record in the Premier League.

Step forward Gabiel then. The Brazilian has had 14 headed attempts in 18 Premier League games this season and is the key man for when Woolwich work their set piece magic.

Meanwhile, eight of the last 12 centre-backs to face Spurs have had an attempt at goal - including both of Wolves and Southampton's centre-halves.
We don't really care about attacking them either.

Spurs vs Wolves = Porro with a beautiful corner for Bentancur to score and then another one for Dragusin to narrowly miss.

very next game vs Newcastle = Porro on the pitch but corner duties go to Timo Werner and then Sergio Reguillon.

full on banter.

yeah fair do's - the season before we picked up 1 point from those 4 matches but in previous seasons we have picked up at least 5-6 I reckon

22/23

Woolwich Home - L
Chelsea Away - D
Liverpool Away - L
Newcastle Away - L

Been on this site since mid-October, posting, reading and after 3 months I have come to the conclusion this site for most part attracts children who like shouting insults at one another in the playground. Rarely have I read 2-3 consecutive posts that debate before the insults prevail.

Enjoy your game kids!
more fool you.............for taking that long to figure it out.

What players were risked?

Our team plays football 6 days of the week. What do you think they do at training? Watch powerpoints? A typical day's training involves practice games and intense cardio.

60 minutes for most of our players playing in second gear with 85% of the ball is literally a walk in the park.
Are you saying playing on that shit 3g pitch doesnt heighten risk of injury. Esp players already needing rest and in danger of fatigue related injuries. I know exactly what they do in training. In training they dont have non league player hacking them down from behind knowing the ref will let them away with it. We had to put son kulu and dom in to rescue a shit performance. Not exactly ideal

If he's unhappy with the transfer business he should stop saying how happy he is whenever he gets the chance.

What manager is going to say that they are unhappy with the players the club buys??? It will be an instant sack to criticise the club in that way.

This club in particular has been very poor with it's recruitment for many years as under many managers. So much money wasted and nothing to show for it

It's okay he's binned now, sorry you had to through such an experience.

I'd much rather be getting a team talk from Ange tonight, rather than that plonker of theirs.

He's been getting performances out of some of these players with not much help because of the suspensions, injuries.

I hope he comes away with a win tonight. Come on big fella
