Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Middle of the pitch was just deviod of anything and the back line had no one supporting them in the first half. Second half more so but we were chasing the game and not making sensible decisions on the ball.

Very frustrating as they were not even that good.

I'm.just so frustrated. There is a decent team in there somewhere.

Under a different manager, probably yes

The dynamics moving forward now are going to be fascinating.

Does Ange walk knowing he's not going to get backed in January when he clearly needs better players?

Does Ange walk when he's given the big I am about winning silverware in his second season?

Would Levy sack Ange now only to bring in Mason which he knows would be a toxic decision for the fanbase?

Levy can't even back a new manager NOW with only 15 days left in the window.

Real rock between a hard place sort of stuff now.

I don’t know what the answer is anymore. We’re in free fall in the league and it’s fucking scary. Sack the manager but it’ll be the same again. The club is fucked. It’s a cesspit for businessman to make a quick buck.

Of course but he didn’t attempt to explain why the performance was unacceptable or passive just that some work needs to be done!

Wow 😮

And you’re ok with that?
How do you expect him to explain it?

You want him to say the players couldn’t be fucked today because I took them out for pizza last night?

Or what?

We played shit, he said it was shit.

That sit deep, passive, Conte ball shit we did in the first half is actually what people on here have been wanting us to Do

Absolutely, to my mind it would've possibly been the biggest FA Cup upset of all time, all things considered. One of the richest clubs in the world beaten by part timers on live TV. At a ground were you can buy a burger while taking a corner. Bigger than Hereford vs Newcastle or Wrexham v Woolwich given the disparity these days. Until last season, Tamworth were in the 6th division.

An enormous bullet dodged.
perhaps recency bias but i'm struggling to think of a more embarrassing defeat ever. it would've been epic and we'd have never lived it down. it's like we took a turn too wide on a mountain road with no guardrails and had two tires over the ledge before skidding back on. i'm still shook from that 90'th minute

you clearly dont understand how bad this manager is. yes the chairman is a useless cunt, hence why we have the worst manager in premier league history! but this guy is the fucking worst thing possible. once hes gone we will see a massive improvement.

I've looked into it. The Newcastle and Woolwich ones I mentioned were the biggest upsets, at least outside pre war stuff. But they were not as bad as Tamworth winning would've been, truly.

I’m not saying Ange is the answer. I’m just sick of hiring a manager that will inevitably be left short, having to work with one hand tied up and be expected to work miracles.

Levy got lucky with Poch, Kane, Son and Dele. Papered over the cracks of a club in the shit.

I honestly still dont know what the system is with Ange. Just dont defend? Dont track back? You could see it with mourinho, Conte etc regardless of how it was working. But its been 2 years nearly for Ange and I still cant make out what exactly his set up or tactics are. Its not even pretty or attacking football.

Right now I would sack Ange and bring in Dyche as interim until the summer. Actually teach our team to defend and set us up well. See what happens. See if theres any actual improvement tactically and make us solid at the back so we can make a better choice of manager in the summer.

Ange won’t walk.

As long as he doesn’t I’m still Ange IN as well.

But it’s nothing to do with backing a manager. This squad is short of players in the same areas no matter who the manager is.

And it always will be with the model we follow.

Slot took over Liverpool and left the squad as is. Liverpool don’t back managers, they build squads and hire managers

In the first half Sarr and Bissouma completely abdicated their midfield responsibilities , never had any control of the middle at any stage , just wandered around loose as 2 bit hookers , Bissouma just kept ball watching and moving towards it with no regard to where any Arse players were . It was completely inacceptable , they left Bergvall to do all of the heavy work in the middle .
The lack of heart and bravery was again on show , the number of times we were easily pushed off the ball was brain numbing , especially Son , we just played so placid .
And why do we have to try and walk everything into the goal , take some shots FFS , and get some crosses in , how many times do players get into a position to do either of those but just turn the ball back in or wide , goddam frustrating .
Something has to be done around this playing everything out from the back , when a team is pressing so high and hard as they were players have to be able to just clear the lines without any come back , it just looked silly playing smaller and smaller triangles till we inevitably lost it or gave away a corner or throw .
Ange really needs to find some pragmatism in his tactics , he's starting to border on really bloody minded , and I want him to succeed but I really can't see how he stays if he's not going to swallow some pride and accept that he's playing in a league that is a different gravy .
I will just be sooo pissed at having to start again .

Yes it's uncharted territory now.

Outside of health reasons, Ange won't quit. Pride and money.
He HAS to be close to the sack now though.

yes and the optics would've been brutal with the mud car park and tiny stands and the players fixing the net on each other's shoulders. it would've destroyed us beyond any past spurs indignities and that's saying something

No doubt about it.
When Hereford United beat Newcastle they were the biggest Non League club of the day. They were a full time outfit and were a football League team within a few months.
Had we lost to Tamworth it would have dwarfed that result in terms of giant killing
