My choice as next Manager of Spurs is between..... Julian Naglesmann and Thiago Motta..... and give them a 5 year deal with 750 million to add to the young talent already at the club and build a legacy..... thats only if Elon Musk buys the club..... cause Levy probably hasnt even heard of them....

If Elon musk bought spurs he'd appoint himself manager and play himself up top then relocate us to new York.

No thanks.

Look at Leicester, Palace and Ipswich line ups and tell me how the injuries are a valid excuse ?
yeah but the argument then is look at the 4-0, 4-1, 3-0 and 4-1 wins against Everton, West Ham, United and Villa during that period too. We were crazy inconsistent with glaring issues but there were some emphatic performances and results in there. We haven't seen that since all the injuries so there os a strong argument for things dramatically improving once they are back.

Sure, but many would've us in the top 8 easy. Including that Nuno fella at Forest.
Yeah, fair point, all in all we've got a top 7-9 squad this season (which is disgraceful enough in itself!). If there was ever going to be any excitement this season it would be in of the cups, certainly not the league (I'm not interested if we can't make top 4).

Hey Ange outers I have a question for you:

Is there anyway you'll want this manager to keep this job, like what can he do to change your mind realistically to gain your trust again from now until the end of the season? Or are you completely done with him no matter what?

No funny answers please, just curious. :)

Is it though.

I think people still think of the Premier League as having or 5 good teams and the rest is cannon fodder.

People see the likes of United a mess failing to rebuild for what 10 years now?

Chelsea finishing 12th 2 seasons ago.

Villa and Newcatle getting into CL in recent years.

This isn't the prem of old and rebuilding is hard as fuck.

Do you think that if Liverpool had lost Salah this season they would be where they are now?

That isn't to say we shouldn't be doing better and shouldn't be in a better position than we are now.... we absolutely should. But there's at least 12 other teams in this league with money and great backroom staff and great players all trying to compete.

I agree re Levy and all them points you make re injuries, Werner etc.

But still. Ange is absolutely not a top level coach or manager, and that system of his that he thinks is so revolutionary and better than everyone else's...well time to wake up and smell the coffee...it's one of the worst I've seen as a football fan and as someone who's coached for over 25 years. I mean, whenever I meet up with some of the coaches I used to work with or attend workshops with (some of whom are now on benches in League 1 & 2 and good leagues abroad), we talk about Ange and not one of them rates him or his system. He's actually the butt of the joke and often used as the example of what not to do.

He'd already be plenty lucky to have a Championship job.

i've watched all his teams play, and there had been a clear and definate way they play. What we've seen in this tenure is absolutely not it. Not even in first 10 games when he was enjoying success when hadn't been "figured out". His past system has relied on fast tricky wingers who can beat a man on the outside, overlapping full backs, a talisman in the middle dictating the tempo, players with good touch, good movement off the ball, and co-ordinated pressing.

IMO this is not about him being "found it". I believe he has changed the way he plays at Tottenham and in the EPL. Obviously he felt he needed to in order to succeed. Even if it gave initial success, its unsustainable. Its easily countered by a low block, the players have not been able to implement it consistently, it results in injuries.

Honestly, the only way I’d get back on board with Ange is if he can string together a consistent run of results. Right now, we haven’t managed to win more than two league games in a row all season, which is, quite frankly, inexcusable.

We’ve seen far too many erratic performances, and it’s hard to buy into any idea of momentum at this stage. As I mentioned at the start of the season, the only consistency we could expect under Ange as our manager was inconsistency, and unfortunately, that’s proving to be accurate so far (I HOPE I am wrong for the sake of this club).

For me, the only way forward is for him to show he can deliver a solid, sustained run of wins and prove that we can actually compete, again, on a consistent basis - anything less and I’m afraid it’s simply not enough.

If we look at the evidence so far it suggests that this will likely NOT be the case – it’s starting to feel more like a fanatical hope than a probable reality at this point.

It's turning into Tottehamstring
Seriously, this is become a really serious concern now and it's half a season left...
Angelos said that many players in his previous clubs got hamstring injuries in their 1st season but by the 2nd season they got used to his methods....but at Spurs it's only getting worse in the 2nd season. Which shows Angelos' lack of understanding of EPL level fitness issues.

Appreciate your insight: re having watched all his teams ; I haven’t.

In all seriousness….

My genuine question to you would be : what does he need do to fix us right now ( given the personnel available) ?

Not wishing to be overly harsh, but beating Everton, West Ham or United really a benchmark of the success of Angeball ? Villa. Yeah I can understand that being seen as one to praise highly, the others? Wins were expected in two of them and the United game against a terrible United was not a massive surprise. Although the performance was good. Very good in fact.

I think he is done here TBH. IMO he got his system wrong from the start, and the initial success deceived everyone, him included. This system is too easly countered, it demands too much physically from his players, and its unsustainabl across 4 competitions. And frustratingly he simply won't change now.

We hear a bit about Ange’s second season success. But very little about what happens in the third season. Is it possible to share what you saw happen in that 3rd year ? His record - reading the stats raw - suggest it all peaks and dies in the 3 year cycle.
