It's reminiscent of the Kane situation. No serious competition for his place or even quality back up (I hate that term) so he was flogged to death and missed months out of several seasons as a result.

This is ENIC Hotspur all over. Trying to get by on the cheap.

To dare is to do my arse.

We used have a little run when we improved when Kane was injured.
Others players stepped up.

I like Iraola but it’s all very flavour of the month.

We used to want to be like Brighton or Brentford and copy their model. Now everyone is saying let’s be like Bournemouth.
Im not saying, go get Iraola. What I'm saying is that even with all our injuries a good manager should be able to get some wins or at least some points. Other teams like Bournemouth seems to be able to do it with lots of injuries. We probably don't have a top 4 squad (That's on Levy) this season, but we should be able to fight for Europa places with what we got. (That's on Ange).

My solution would be to get rid of Ange today. Bring in an Interim manager the rest of the season with the possibility for him to stay if he's doing a good job. And start selling the club to ambitious owners.

The problem with that is : we might get bounced into hiring a mediocre interim manager because he got a bounce.
Think Sherwood.

Iraola is doing well so far this season but his injuries aren’t critical players and it’s still very early into the knock on effects of those injuries.

We won 4-0 away at City without our first choice CBs and plenty of other injuries. But the fatigue caused by those injuries and the schedule led to more injuries. It’s way too simplistic to just look at the two situations being the same.

And, I don’t want to doom monger another team but even with 1 game a week, those injuries will catch up with Bournemouth and they will drop points because of them soon enough.

Why’s he taken his trainers off to lift weights? I’ve never seen anyone do that. No support for his feet.

None of the players seem to have decent form in the gym. I saw a personal trainer complaining about that online last week.

If you are wearing trainers with any type of cushioning in the sole these are not good for lifting weights.

Going barefoot or in socks is better.

The last thing you need when lifting weights is shoes that are “air” type running type shoes. My gym shoes are flat and have no extra cushioning.

It’s common practice for weightlifters to train in socks and barefeet.

The opposite is where people will wear specific weightlifting shoes with a wedge in the heel. Again to stabilise but this is not cushioned. They are solid.
Called lifters. I own a pair of these and various sets of training shoes that are great for lifting but not ideal for longer distance running.

Thanks. Learn something new everyday. At least it looks like he’s not wearing ankle strapping anymore
