Also we shouldn't understate the damage he did before leaving. By blaming everyone other than himself, he probably destroyed the confidence of a lot of the players, and (perhaps even more significantly) most likely made the manager's job seem like even more of a poisoned chalice than it already was. People wonder why we ended up with the relatively unknown Postecoglou - I don't think it's unlikely that our odds of appointing a manager with a more established top-level reputation were severely damaged by Conte's outbursts (and whether he was 'right' or not is irrelevant to that). Absolute coward and fraud of the highest order, and quite possibly did more damage to our club than any other manager under the current ownership.
