Transfers Deadwood (yet again)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Foolishly, I thought we did this last summer but we go again this summer.

Reggie, Dragusin, Davies, Biss, Bents, Werner, Son, Richie, BJ and Werner. I’d consider moving all on if the right offer comes in. Probably a few more too if decent money was be mentioned.

Never known a club to have the need for such a high turnaround.

Other than Werner and Reggie all decent squad players /depth. Having to play too many minutes is the issue.

You listed Werner twice. He, Reguilon, and Davies are out of contract in the summer so no need to move them on.

Son will probably stay next year and see out his contract. Biss and Betancur each have 1 year left and will be sold if there's a buyer. Certainly won't be extended.

Richarlison is very likely to be sold and everyone has said as much.

Why we are where we are ; is in my opinion nothing to do with »deadwood « amongst the playing-staff .

We’ve shipped off loads ( at a great financial loss to the club ie the likes of you and me who coughed up the sponds ) who’ve had good careers and actually won things with their new clubs .

I can’t help thinking ; It’s not them it’s us .

Us being the current regime .

I hope I’m wrong.

Selling Richarlison makes no sense at all. We have done the work to get him fit and we have already seen that he has an impact. He brings energy and goals.

I know Werner is shit but no need to name him twice. Anyway he's only on loan so gone anyway.

As a hangover from last summer the deadwood is Reggy + Solomon (not sure if any others are coming back from loans).

This season a few have moved into that category. Agree with your list but I don't mind Davies and Son staying as squad players. Barring an injury crisis Ben should never play and Son should be a rotation option. Well rested, against certain opposition and he can still offer something.

I'd focusing on binning: Dragusin, Richy, Johnson and Biss.

Bentancur gets a reprieve because of his crazy luck and at least he has a pair of bollocks on the odd occasion he does get on the pitch. I don't mind him being a midfield option for another season.

The signings should be:
- New starting 6
- New starting LW (Moore + Odobert + Son rotate on the wings)
- CF rotation
- LB

Vicario
Spence - Romero - VDV - Udogie
NEW
Bergvall -- Maddison
Kulu - Solanke - NEW
We need those two starting signings to be real gamechangers though.

Could we just sell all the players, and concentrate on American Football?

Seriously?? He’s never fit. Selling him is the only sensible thing to do with him. Keeping him just brings future problems. That’s what he’s been since he’s been here. Mental health issues, lack of form and injuries are things we don’t need. Cash in on him in the summer but we wouldn’t even get £20 million for him now.

For less than 20M, it’s probably worth keeping him and hoping he someone finds consistency

He looked pretty fit today.

I hate that term but it’s also an app description. I don’t dislike any of them. Infact I think at least one of Bissouma or Bentancur should stay as back up and if we get a new manager that plays a second striker system maybe Son or Johnson.

Son - Very sad a legend is at that stage but unless he plays as a second striker and is happy to be on the bench a bit.

Davies - great servant, will need to be replaced. Hate to lose him but time is getting on

Regulion - hard worker but not at the level

Bentancur - talented player but a total mess of a situation

Bissouma - way to inconsistent

Johnson - scores goals and does literally nothing else, might work under another manager as a second striker.

Werner - loan that will end

Richy - always injured, would be ok as a back up if he could stay fit
