They were celebrating a special retro day and it did look and sound good at times. What the fuck we were doing I don’t know. But we are an utter shambles on the pitch, off it too, and toxicity in the fanbase is growing as are the disagreements and aggro in the stands. It’s a total mess. No option available to us will do any good. At least the youngsters are battling hard and growing in experience. My worry is it’s coming with permanent scars and anxiety. Was it really worse than this in the 90s?

Last time I was at goodison... Every time kassey Keller got the ball .. (we ) the travelling fans went into an involuntarily nervous silence... So nothing much seems to change.

Think we have won just 9 games since last April or something like that. 4 of those were v relegated teams or fighting relegation.

I’ve got a 4-0 defeat away at Coventry in my head. That was horrible. Around 1997. Christian Gross era? But honestly. Today was embarrassing. 3-0 at HT was kind. And they’re a pretty shit side too.

The reason he's so statuesque on the touchline is there's nothing for him to do. Because the players are neither succeeding nor failing his instructions...because there are none. It's just hollow philosophy. He'd struggle in L1, I truly believe that.

And as sim on wattv kept on saying we are only x points from 5th blah blah blah. Since they got invited to far east and had the 5 * dining experience they don’t want to rock the boat. Ben prbly does have a go a bit more but Sim is like a holocaust denier.
