Match TSG 1899 Hoffenheim v Tottenham Hotspur | Thursday 23rd January | Rhein-Neckar Arena | 17:45

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just went through our injury list for tonight, felt a bit bad for Ange, then I looked at Hoffenheims injury list. No excuses tonight if we lose please.

If we lose, I’ll scream it again, he needs to go.

I don’t know how much of Hoffenheims injuries are regular first team players, but it will be adding the same amount of strain on the starters as it’s doing our team.

This is a perfect game for Ange to show he can turn it around, if we can’t get a win here we need to get him out.

He's a deadman walking.... Only a trophy saves him come the summer.

They're shit and don't play with any intensity and that's two things we thrive on.
you mean they play like like Ipswich and Everton?

Only the 4 maybe 5 enforced changes from the last EL Rangers game starting XI.
No Udogie, Bissouma, Werner, Johnson and maybe no Forster.

Think both is correct. He needs a huge and solid turnaround to keep his job, and most of all a trophy.

If a trophy is reached however, even the Carabao, his job is safe. We will never pull the plug right after bringing us silverware, and nor should we in that case

Point being... As far as the board is concerned; anything less than a trophy (i.e. a semi) won't compensate for a bottom half finish (which looks more than likely at this point).

Say what you want about this squad; it's NOT bottom half quality.

Agree on both. A solid turnaround means go on a good run to bring us on upper half with some margin, unless he will need to put a cup in the shelf.

But we can't get rid of someone winning us shxt now, that would a - forever no luck ban -for us

Austin or Forster
Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Gray
Bentancur, Bergvall, Maddison
Kulusevski, Lankshear, Moore

Planned subs : Richarlison on at HT (just back from injury) , maybe Son too if we need goals.

12 on bench :
Whiteman, Forster or Austin, , Hardy, King, Adewole, Olusesi, Ajayi, Cassanova, Thompson, Williams-Barnett, Richarlison, .Son

2 GK's on bench - why not ? Might only have 10 or 11 subs rather than the maximum 12
If Cassanova comes on, does he promise a "lovely" finish ?

It's not like Spurs have fired managers just before a final of a cup...is it?

Sadly; I think any chance of upper half depends on at least a couple of teams in the top 10 having a collapse.... There's too many teams to leapfrog otherwise.

We have no idea what the board's position is other than that Ange is currently still employed. Surviving the longest downturn I can remember under ENIC.

It could well be that Levy himself is a paid up member of the cult of Ange and really believes this shitty form is solely down to bad luck and injuries. Meaning he may well give him another crack at it next season.

I would not be surprised if Ange keeps his job if we somewhat rallied to the dizzy heights of 11th/12th and got to the semi final of the FA Cup or EL. I don't think he necessarily needs a cup win or a top 10 finish to still be here next season.

I'm not even going to bother saying that it's a must win or he has to go. Because I no longer think he's one game away from the sack. Probably at least five (Liverpool) or six (Villa).
