Player Yves Bissouma

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

An absolute fraud at embracing our team and situation, and in embracing and improving players.

Checkbook manager. Doing great at home where he gets what he claims he wants. Really bad manager for us, however.

We knew he was a cheque book manager when we got him like Pep, like Jose. We hired him and gave him no cheque book, that is on us being fucking idiots.

Yeah, Conte was proper prick, but after some time must admit - he was perfectly right re: Bissouma.
Just freezing out a talented player is not sensible management of resources.

Conte is a proper coach who still very much has what it takes in today's game (unlike Mourinho), but Spurs Manor was never going to withstand Hurricane Conte, it was just a bad marriage, particularly starting the relationship mid-season.

He took 79 points from his first 38 league games in charge, with an absolute dogshit squad. And then, as he does, he started driving everybody crazy.

Conte won a Premier League and a F A Cup for Chelsea..... Spurs did not back him with hard dosh.... thats why he turned on the club in his last interview.... he layed the blame solely at the feet of Levy.... and going by all the comments on this platform... 99.9 % of us agree with him.

Refusing to play kids and other young talent because he thought it was beneath him or somehow disrespectful to him I thought was particularly ugly of him. Barely seemed interested at all to reach a hand out and try to raise a player up. For me and this club and it's reliance on developing young talent that is unacceptable to me.

He won't make it at a big club, far too inconsistent.

This is probably right, Bissouma isn’t top level, but not because he isn’t consistent, but because he has slight flaws in his game. He will consistently play his game, and it’s a pretty rounded game, but will also make occasional mistakes. Especially in an ultra challenging (for the 6) system like ours.

At Brighton, under Potter, which was a structurally much more stable and less risk averse format, often in a double pivot, those flaws were much less evident.
