If you look at the salaries they pay its not hard to guess why, money is the primary motivator for players in this day and age and United pay fucking obscene wages. That teenage CB they signed in Summer they've already got him on over 100 grand a week, fucking bananas. It’s too much. He’s a decent player but not a needle mover - I feel like we make too many of those signings.

We obviously have the pull of being a London Club who gives young players a chance but for whatever reason we have cut right back on wages, we could afford to match united offer but whether we do is another matter.
That makes little sense. If it's a loan deal, first of all that either tells me the player doesn't want to join us permanently, or that we are being tight, but also it means that many other clubs can also do a loan so why would he come here?

and ManU are struggling to move on the players they need to in order to sign others - no doubt eye watering wages for Rashford et al are a significant reason

I imagine we are happy with a permanent or loan with option or obligation with differences in price/terms perhaps but if Bayern were adamant on a loan only there might be a deal to be done.
