So Van de Ven is now fit again, as is Spence. And Ange has said that the majority of our other injured players are back in 7-10 days (Vicario, Udogie, Odobert, Werner, Johnson), with Solanke a week behind them. I cannot see us buying any new players this window, maybe a CB on loan if Dragusin is crocked longer than a week or two.

EDIT: Maddison also 1 week away from fitness.

Surely you sound out a players interest in joining your club before you make your offer and embarrass yourself IF the player says no?

Not sure it is that black and white. You sound the player out and he says he is open to a move. You negotiate a salary and he agrees. You speak to his club and agree a fee. Meanwhile, the player has second thoughts and flutters eyelids at other 'bigger' clubs and his agent leaks stories to the press.

Would help us out immeasurably against low block teams and offer something different that our squad doesn't have. He's been quite good this season and hasn't had any real attitude issues either (gotten better apparently). Could get him for around 20m, then use other funds to loan out or buy some other senior CB like Tomori with dragusin out.

Guy single handedly destroyed Rangers at Ibrox. 100% we should be interested in him. Very skillful player
