Let's be honest though, as dissapointing as it is, Tel was never making an impact for us this season.

The club need to go out and buy some established quality who can hit the ground running, the team badly need it.

We have Moore coming through, we don't need more teenagers.
Agreed. If Tel was in our data hitting area then we should and, more importantly, probably could have gotten him last summer rather than leaving us short. Same with Tomori.

What we need right now is someone who can score and assist goals right now.

This is wild you know...

Really don't understand it. Unless Tel's agent played us along to try and shake out other bidders.
I'll be honest I don't even care about not getting Tel. I'm not sure he was what we needed. Another "promising youngster"

I'm just sick and tired of the way that everything at our club is run with cut throat precision and professionalism apart from the football side of the business which is run like a Benny Hill sketch.

I'm tired of being the butt of the joke, the laughing stock.

Could have been worse I suppose he could have come over for the medical before mooning the screen revealing an Woolwich crest on his butt cheeks before getting in a taxi with Sol Campbell and going up the road to be unveiled there.

We are just so fucking micky mouse.

Feel sorry for Kane, shows you loyalty to this club is a complete waste of time

All teams lose their best players, Ronaldo, Suarez, Coutinho, Torres, Gallagher, Tevez.

I could dig some more out.

It's not about what team sells who, it's about which players are brought back in.

Remember the magnificent seven?

Eriksen was the only one who worked out to be a true great, no?

Loyalty is a much misguided word when it comes to football or sport in general.

Ask any new player who come to a "top four club" about players like Chivers, Hansen, Law, Harris, George, and the like and they wouldn't have a fucking clue.

It's about money and don't care how many times you see players kiss the badge on their shirt, it may as well be a Wells Fargo or Barclays Bank badge.

Can’t see anyone being happy about the club being embarrassed yet again. But I do know what you mean and how it reads.
I'm ok with it, because I don't think at £50m it's a great deal, and it also appeared to be the case that Tel wasn't all that keen on us. Which obviously has subsequently proven to be the case. That isn't a great starting point, to put it mildly. So given it's (IMO) not a good target for us, it's nice to see sweet Daniel's face plastered with egg.

At the end of the day it’s not this deal that’s the issue. We obviously loved him, he was never keen, tried to convince him, it didn’t work. Fine. It happens. It’s more the inaction of getting to this point with no reinforcements and the clock ticking.
