Yet, here we'll be, transfer window after transfer window with you spouting:

Aptitude.

I have spent nearly 40 years of my life walking and am still clumsy and fall over. On the other hand when it comes to maths or finding my way around places I am mostly very good with little effort.

Levy is a natural businessman and bean counter, it comes easy to him. On the other hand he watches football every week and still struggles to understand the game. Just watch the Amazon doc where he is engaging on the game, sounds like some bloke from Texas who has never watched Soccer in his life trying to understand it. Levy could watch 5000 games, listen to 20 managers and still he will never naturally understand football. He doesn’t get why it is better (and in the long run cheaper) to get your top target, he doesn’t understand the human element of players and managers fitting together. He doesn’t understand that football is heavily momentum and you need to strengthen from a position of strength. He will never get this. He doesn’t have the aptitude for it. It’s like asking some who is heavily autistic to be the social one at a party, or someone who aggressive to be the diplomat. He isn’t built psychologically to help a football team become winners.
 
Anyway, I’d love to sign Dibling as he looked good against us, but was anonymous in and England U21 game I watched early this season, which cooled my interest (and don’t watch Southampton generally).

Plus, he got profoundly homesick at Chelsea a couple of years ago, which makes him a risk.

Plus, he’s injured and if we spend £40m odd again now on a high end prospect, I’d like them to be available for our games right now, given our league form and position is hugely precarious.

If nobody else can be signed, I’m in. But would choose say a Cherki over Dibling (for the right now).

Scott at Palace was Dibling two seasons ago, crudely (the channel island Grealish), is he a better prospect than Moore? (Will drop it now!)
