Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

ffs how can anyone continue to think we're actually going to break the cup curse in this worst season ever? we've been fortunate to get past absolute minnows the last couple rounds. it's over. we're fucked. scraping out of relegation is our cup. we are in 16th. no one will join us. the manager is miserable. the squad is miserable. the supporters are miserable. it's the fucking nuclear winter and you think we're going lift a cup? to dare is to delude
Man, we could win a cup and it'd still be a mega shit season. Mainly, Levy would still be a thundercunt that needs to jog the eff on. Same with his cronies and that SOAT coaching staff.

Fuck Richarlatan, just give the minutes to Scarlett. At least he’s got a chance of a future here. The Brazilian clown needs to be shipped out as soon as we can find some mugs stupid enough to take him.
<<Very serious concern alert>>

The day we FINALLY get rid of Richarlison...what's gonna happen to Richard Arlison Richard Arlison ?

Awesome.

Roma rejected him in the summer cause of a heart defect.

His adductors are made of Philadelphia.

Good player in Ligue 1 up until this season, but a very underwhelming move considering the situation we're in.

I'll back him when he's a Spurs of course...but them PR twats better not tell us he was Ange's priority all along.
Yeah , just like Poch didn’t want any transfers for two windows having said we need a painful rebuild . Some people will believe anything

If he can stay fit (had a few 2-week injuries) and get back to the level he was at Lens when they finished on the podium under Haise, he could prove a shrewd addition and a nightmare for opposition attackers. He was absolutely terrific that season (reminded me of Lilian Thuram), which is why PSG were in for him.

That Roma thing worried me, but having read more about it, seems it wasn't that serious and he got it fixed anyway.

First & foremost, he will defo help with our set pieces...defending like attacking. Vicario gonna be pleased to see a big, mean fucker like him join.

Welcome, Big Kev.

With Son, Moore, Odobert, and Werner on the left; Solanke, Richy, and Scarlett down the middle; Kulu (not his best position) and Johnson on the right; I feel it is a RW we desperately need.

I don’t care if it’s Chelsea, I’d love to get Madueke. He’s only 22 and will only get better and better (unless he suffers a hammy like most of our squad).
Chelsea fans couldn't care less if Madueke leaves, they are sick of his laziness, never tracks back and had cost them lots of goals this season as a result of same.

So you are saying we are signing a player with a history of niggly injuries who hasn't returned to a previous high water mark of form?

Sounds about as Spursy as it gets. When all your other targets have told you to fuck off I guess this is what we are left with.

Nice update from Ange:

"Delighted to have Kevin onboard. It will take him a few days to settle in obviously, but we'll have one of his hamstrings pulled in no time".

I think Tomori didn’t fancy his chances of game time to get back into the England setup once Romero and VDV are back from injury. He probably also shied away from the competition with Gray.

He seems to be a shrinking violet. More likely to get game time at United, given how pants their CB’s are.

I’ve seen a fair bit of Danso, seen him live iirc, this is an unremarkable signing. Not shit, but he’s not exceptional either. He’s an athletic unit, very strong, and covers ground but not the smartest reader and not great with the ball, possibly a little more comfortable than Dragusin, but not exceptional at all.

Upgrade on Davies for sure, marginal upgrade on Dragusin.

Hard to believe this is the best that a recruitment analytics and scouting department could do.

It’s a last minute opportunity in the window isn’t it. I’m not sure we even use this, not anything different to any other average PL club anyway. Our main transfer policy seems to be targeting players represented by Base or a player in the last 18 months of their contract. Those are the only variables.

Let's be honest, my man. We were never gonna sign a top talent, was always gonna be someone of the B-list. Cheaper fee, cheaper wages...that's your primary data set right here.

Also, we have Levy as our chairman. Lange as footy director or whatever he's supposed to be doing. Ange as our manager...I repeat, Ange Postecoglou as our manager.

We're 16th in the PL. Conceding goals and losing games for fun. Ridiculous system mocked by anyone with half a brain cell.

That squad, I mean...

We don't offer top wages.

Players know we ain't a serious club and that Levy doesn't give a shit about success on the pitch. There's no strategy, no vision...just pure bullshit.

We don't want top players. They don't want us either.

So it seems we are so good players don’t want to join because of our excellent squad . Kind of worked as an argument for a centre forward when we had peak Kane and were flying under Poch . I still think it was bollocks but one could just about give it some credibility.
Now as we sit in 16th in the league and are a laughing stock because we are so crap , we are meant to believe players are scared to join
The spin when we fuck up is incredible

Didn’t reject us we rejected their terms

The selling or buying club moved the goalposts , well I think we know who does that , the bald Warwick Davis .

We are so good players are scared to join , just fucking LOL

That’s without the usual

3rd party ownership issues .
We need to let the big dogs eat first
Our fax machine broke
We ran out of time

Unfortunately your analytical comments lose all credibility to the average Spurs fans who consider your negativity towards Kulu who, if player of the season was awarded at the end of January, would have won it or at least have been top 3.

Even if we really lack quality on the wings, quantity wise we are so bloated there that I don't see them prioritizing it at the moment. Not without a summer cleanup. They'll just roll the dice with Moore for the time being.

I'd still love to see a physically enforcing workhorse DM that can be partnered with Gray in a proper double pivot, now that the latter is largely free from his responsibilities as a defender. This constant chopping and changing featuring Bentancur, Bissouma and Sarr needs to stop.
