In what fucking world is Brenan Johnson better than Garnacho?
Statistics aren't everything obviously, but if you do the Transfermarkt player comparison thing they are essentially identical. Garnacho has a goal contribution every 344 minutes, Brennan every 339 minutes. Roughly speaking one goal or assist every 4 games.

Some players we are linked with have better stats ... e.g. Cunha every 212 minutes, Bryan Mbeumo every 277 minutes, so Cunha is not far off a goal or assist every other game. Some are much worse though - Gibbs-White every 569 minutes.

I'd rather we not sign nobody else now, we're not getting relegated and we can wait till the summer for players we actually want not trolly dash bullshit.
Or, we could sign a player, good enough to play and give others rest, possibly leading to winning the Europa League and getting us an epic seasons end and CL next season.

Would very much like a RWF.

The problem with these kind of stats is it completely ignores the context of those contributions. Of Garnacho's 14 goal contributions this season, 4 were against Barnsley (2 goals 2 assists) in one game, 3 against Leicester, of the remaining 7 just 2 were against elite opposition in City (goal in the community shield) and Woolwich (assist in the FA cup). By contrast Johnson's contributions largely come against a good variety of opposition, there's no games like the Barnsley one for Garnacho massively padding his stats against inferior opposition, he largely contributes evenly across games and has contributions against several elite teams this season.

Totally agree. It put off doing anything useful for 15 minutes though. Result.

Probably a confirmation that Tel never had any intension of moving even after Spurs agreed a fee with Munich (a step that no other club seems to have been able to) - nothing Spurs could do about that despite the usual bed wetters (and supporters of other clubs on TFC) comments a few days ago.

We got rejected after agreeing a fee. Woolwich and Utd's interest is clearly half hearted at best wanting not too much more than a loan.

In my head canon I want to believe we knew Tel wouldn't come here and Levy was just trolling United and Woolwich by putting a player well beyond their comfort zone of Jan spending. It's almost certainly not the case but if that's how it transpires all the same then so be it :levylol:
