Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Woolwich had Odegaard on a dry loan before buying him didn't they? It's not unimaginable that we may go for him in the summer if we make a good impression on him (and vice versa).

It’s the other way about. Bayern did want to sell him hence the option to buy being apparently agreed last week. Tel didn’t fancy leaving permanently then changed his mind on moving. They’ve now accepted a straight loan no option to buy which suits Tel.
That's what I read as well. Bayern wanted to sell him so they could buy a centre back. If it goes well he probably signs in the Summer and Bayern will want it done early so they can invest.

Who would have thought it, Tel is a massive Beyonce Fan , levy found this out when he went to meet him in person in Germany, upon hearing the news Levy went all out to get Beyoncé back to the stadium , as soon as Tel found out he was on the blower to Levy begging to join us!

Like i said before, levy plays chess, everyone else plays checkers!!!! :levylol:

"Did I ever tell you Mathys; when I was at Uni we all LOVED Destiny's Child......?"

Pep has coached that out of him.

With Ange being so Gung Ho, telling Grealish to “just do what you like doing”, I think he would definitely be a plus on the wings.

We say Son is still quality, etc. so this much also apply to Grealish? Since quality players don’t lose their quality.

If we could get him on loan, I’d say he’d immediately be the best winger we have. At least we know he can beat a man, or definitely draw fouls.
He is also great at keeping the ball at the right end of the pitch. something we lack

Sky pitching it as a U-turn.. It's not a U-turn. It's a player that didn't want to leave Bayern permanently, as would've been the case with the previous structuring of the deal.. But he's happy to come and play for a few months..

It also turns out this banter journalism of "Tel reject Spurs cause they're shit lol", was just them typically misunderstanding the situation. The obvious fact is that the player always wanted to be at Bayern long term and has said as much.

Not as miserable as Rashford's painful effort to smile when signing for Villa.

I thought the trolls had picked one where he was chewing something, but it's actually the same 'smile' on all their posts of it.

Reminds me of when Lennon was over the moon to sign for Everton.

I think it's perfectly reasonably/sensible on Tel's part too. If he likes what he sees (LOL) and feels he fits in, then yeah, chance of a perm signing in the summer (and likewise if we like what he brings to the table).

If not, it's a four month loan where he'll get gametime, and then back to Bayern to either win a spot or go elsewhere.

Media pricks now trying to spin things that a loan is MORE of a "risk" that splashing 50m...............

No doubt a bunch of misery merchants will buy into that nonsense too.

We’ve obviously paid a loan fee and they didn’t want to.

I think we find out later from Ali Gold that a price to buy has been set but it’s not an official option to buy.

Refuse to believe Levy sanctions and pays for a dry loan

Yeah I agree. That and Ange calling him to persuade him to come suggests more. levy isn’t going to do that deal without having some power over it. Although Bayern are fuckers in the transfer market.

A good player on a loan or a worse with a loan with an option. That seems to be the choice.

I'm doubling down anyway, every time I've seen him he's been poor. Would rather give Werner the minutes

I don't like that it's just a short loan, but it's better than nothing.

Have liked this player for a long time.

Hope we don't turn him off and he decides to push for a full transfer in the summer.

Show him those fucking pillows!
