This pretty much sums everything up for me.

The result isn’t what has pushed so many of us over the edge, it was the manner. It was total resignation and when that happens there’s little coming back from it.
I’m curious what are the stats for us winning a game from a losing position. It feels like the majority of our wins came after we took the lead. When we concede first, it’s mostly game over.

Tbf once the injuries are all back we will have a good side and can actually try sticking to the system he previously implemented.. Last couple of weeks he's just resorted to park the bus.

Once all fit I like the look of..

Kinsky
Spence Romero Vdv Udogie
Bentacur
Deki madders
Tel Solanke. Son

Supplement that by taking up the option of Cardoso (in for Benta) and buying a top left footed right winger like Kubo/Raphinha/ Madueke/ Bakayoko (in for Sonny, tel goes to LW) and we have a very good side capable of changing anyone

Loads of teams have nice training grounds now, Liverpool have a fantastic one, even Leicester have a great facility. The training ground is no longer something special. It doesn't breed complacency, and it's no huge advantage either, it's just somewhere they train.
Agreed.

The quality of the training ground and stadium isn't what breeds complacency. It's the culture within the club itself that does it. From the ownership all the way down.

Levy is not concerned with winning trophies. He is concerned with finishing within the top 6.

I don't share your antipathy but I don't warm to Ange either. Maybe he's cool in private, but the public optics on this guy are shocking in several ways.

With him still here flailing about and Levy behind the wheel with zero ambition on the football side I'm close to disengaging completely, tbh.

He's the guy who sat next to a player on a 24 hour flight and didnt say one word to him.

We laughed at that when he joined, but now we know he did it because he's a rude prick.

The only glimmer is that I can sense a sea change. Less and less people buying into it's about getting people back. And all that childish but sincere " cup treble" talk almost totally absent. We are not winning the CC, EL, FA we will limp to about 10th, when other teams stop playing and there's no pressure on Romero Maddison Bissouma and Bentancur.

I pretty much said it first, and I'll repeat again. Daniel Levy told Spurs fans he was knocking down WHL so we could compete for the best players and trophies. He lied. He built the stadium so he was no longer forced to compete because the alternate revenue streams made base line investment in the team all that was required. He now only needs the mens team IN the premier league. Watch for renewed focus on the women's side winning which is achievable at a much lower investment level. This will be sold to the credulous as every bit as important to the club.

The appointment of vibes Ange, a man wedded to the intangible of "entertainment" is also significant in that it's now brand aligned. The antithesis of Antonio Conte. So we are not about the results it's about the style. Expectations lowered all round. "It's who we are mate" "We've got our Tottenham back".

Outside a sale of the club and new leadership focused on a coherent plan to win silverware, which would obviously mean the removal of Levy, Lange, Postecoglou, we will be stuck in this pattern. It won't get better and the backlash from those who brought in so heavily to 'Ange is building , jam tomorrow " 'Positivity' will be really nasty.

ENICs worst failure and as we know that is up against some stiff competition. Its been a disaster, both employing him and sticking with him this long.
It's a double fuck up isn't it?

Hiring him in the first place and then failing to realise the game was up.

Levy's getting dragged down with the corpse now by not sacking him.

Ange may have actually been the best thing to happen to Spurs.

What part of what he said was wrong ?
Absolutely nothing. And he shouldn’t be sacked for losing a cup semi, away from home, against the presently best team in the world.

But, he should for the nature of the defeat. The lack of desire and basic tactical awareness of the players. The results leading up to this. The lack of any green chutes of recovery.

Perfectly acceptable press conference though.
