Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I tell you if nothing else its been a real eye opener on the cult of personality. Have a ton of confidence, be all jocular and matey, talk a great game and some people will follow you to the ends of the earth even when all the evidence points to an obvious con job. Scary.

PR is a big part of football these days.

Ange , just like Sir Les Patterson has the gift of the gab and provides entertainment to the masses .

Only problem is ; I suspect Sir Les would actually being get more out our players than Ange .

Unfortunately; Barry Humphries is no longer with us .

I wouldn’t bring new manager until the end of the season. We won’t get favourable manager in this period. Seeing someone like Mason in charge is pretty much the same as this. I doubt Iraola would come here right now, that’s my only concern.

Finally back to a game a week for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully get atleast 7 or 8 players back during this time.

Now we can finally start to judge him! The last 3 months were crazy. Was like fighting with a hand tied behind your back
What did you think of the last 7 games of last season when he had virtually a full squad including Van de Ven and Romero to choose from. The evidence was there for all to see

Levy and poch surely are on good terms still. Surprised levy hasnt phoned him up and say from what you see from our games what's your take. I mean ffs it's obvious porro isn't a defender. Playing spence right back unbalanced team. Poor bergvall was shot to bits in midfield. Bad management.

Even if he's Levy's guy, I don't believe there is none in the board to raise the issue we all fans have been seeing. Surely someone in suits can see that too?

Right?

I think their priorities are different than ours sadly and the bonuses they reward themselves with reflect that. I'd be shocked if the board had meetings about football. It would just be an agenda item far far down the list.

Postecoglou on his future

I'm not talking about me. People can judge me. They can say I've done a bad job, I'm not up to it or whatever. That's fine. What I'm saying is you can't be critical of players or players' performances at this time. Because if you do, then do that with everyone else. Be as critical of other clubs when they've got 9 or 10 or 11 players out. And none of them have. and have to play every week. And not for one game. I'm not just saying we had to do this today. We've been doing this since the middle of November and you can't judge performances of these players and critique them on what they've done.

All they've done is given all they can and that's all you can ask for. Me, that's not of interest to me. My responsibility at this football club is this group of players and this team, to get them to play in the manner I want them to and bring us success. Whether people think I can do that or not, that's for others to judge. But there's got to be a better appreciation for what a very small group of players have been doing for the last two and a half months. It can't be that people think that's an excuse.

That's just not anywhere near close to objective analysis. That's just agenda driven stuff. If it's to get rid of me that's fine. Good on ya. Go for it a million times. But in terms of this group of players, what they've given over the past two and half months has been outstanding, it's a credit to him, I can't speak highly enough of them.

ange, we're not criticizing the players, we're criticizing YOU. just unbelievable

His departure should have been done and dusted by now for all the reasons widely given already.

However, I just don’t see it happening until the end of the season. Levy is getting plenty of flack as it is now, but unless the coaches or interim manager he hands the reins over to hit the ground running and pull in immediate results, he knows there is no deflecting and 100% of the abuse will come his way for the rest of the season. I think, as usual he’ll muddle along, with some abuse going his way and some to Ange, then sack Ange in May and appoint another manager in the summer.

Honestly feel like I’ve seen better co-ordinated Sunday league teams

We just run around after the ball

As flippant as your post reads, it's truer than anything posted in here today.

I thought the very same thing.

No player wanted the ball, no cohesive patterns of play, no tackling ion midfield, and piss poor interplay in attack.

Indeed it was just like a Sunday league team game aside from our players were still hungover.

If we win the Europa league it's simply because the opposition is much weaker than in England. It really wouldn't make up for this horrible season. Ange has to go either way. He really should've been sacked ages ago.
The opposition isn't much weaker than in England though, it's just an English narrative. Bilbao, Sociedad, Lazio etc. would wipe the floor with us or United. Look at what Atalanta did to Liverpool last season.

I really am starting to think all these injuries are basically players not wanting to play for Ange (apart from Dragusin), no way Madders, VdV, Romero and others would still be out with the injuries reported
