Poch now climbing from 3rd favourite to joint favourite to be next Spurs manager.

He's magic you know.

I'd be having a big bet on Iarola at 11/2! I'd price it up a 6/4 shot. I think he will be the main target in the Summer and I don't see why he wouldn't come. Its a great stepping stone job for him as he wouldn't be offered the Real Madrid or Bayern jobs just yet

Sami Mokbel so that came directly from Donna Cullen.

Still not convinced Iraola really takes us anywhere we haven't been before. At least it wouldn't be a deviation away from the style of football we have built this squad around and there would at least be some joined-up thinking in appointing him.

How is he on the phone when it comes to recruitment?
I’d take that if he could reproduce the form we saw in 15/16 and 16/17.

With additional transfers on top he might very well get us over the line.

If originality involves flirting with relegation, I’m more than happy for a few boring years of competence.

Why is the option relegation flirts or boring competence?

What have we seen from Bournemouth that gives us enough confidence that Iraola can reproduce 15/16 or 16/17?

I'm not saying he can't and if he came, I'd back him like any other manager but have we really seen anything from Iraola to see him breaking the glass ceiling and taking us over the hump to winning trophies?

That's all I'm asking here. Maybe I have the logic wrong though and it's more about finding the manager to fit your squad and trusting the squad build to be better than Poch's team. In that logic I can see Iraola having continuity with the squad from Ange.

They’ve beaten Woolwich, Man City, Us, United, Everton, drawn with Chelsea and spanked Forest 5-nil whilst producing front football on a meagre budget.

Lots to admire.

Be prepared for Ange starting the next season, as it's a real possibility at this point. As it would also coincide with players coming back, any possible upturn in form, however slight, would be open to the highly rosy interpretation that it had been injuries all along. A purely probabilistic explanation based on regression to the mean wouldn't make as good of a narrative, so I could see Levy and co running with it as well.

In all seriousness I’d be surprised but not totally shocked FWIW .
