Match Ipswich (A) - 22nd February - 3PM KICK OFF, AN ACTUAL 3PM KICK OFF

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was with my cousin and a couple of friends today and we had a lovely day. One friend said "what a brilliant day", that was about 4.30pm, I said, "I'll let you know in half an hour" ...................... and it did turn out to be so.
Nothing better than us winning when that lot lose, especially on a Saturday afternoon and when we're away and they're at home.

Has anyone ever told you that you and your cousin are dead ringers for two of the characters in friends .

Yes I mean Rachel and Phoebe

Christ you're a miserable twat, huh? Do you go to the games and just sit with arms crossed when a player you don't like scores?
We just won 4-1. Enjoy the moment.
How do you enjoy Beating Ipswich because they didn't manage to score sitters in the first 10 minutes? How do you enjoy Kulu loosing the ball 20 times and then scoring a goal. How do you enjoy Johnson being man handled off the ball 20 times and tapping in 2 goals. I don't understand your mentality. You are happy with being fed Crap because you get thrown a scrap piece of stale cake every so often. How did you enjoy our performance today. Great that we won but we still played Crap.

So have i got this right?

I’m meant to be miserable when we lose to Ipswich

When we beat Ipswich 4-1
When Woolwich lose and fuck up their title challenge
When Chelsea lose
I’m meant to be fucking miserable

Well that does not sound like a whole lot of fun as a way of following one’s team . I think I will stick with the more traditional be annoyed when we lose , happy when we win , really happy when we win and our rivals lose . Call me nostalgic but I never really saw the problem with that approach back in the day .

Anyone else a fan of the retro style of supporting Spurs

You're talking about 15-20 years ago.

Again, we're a much larger club now.

Kane didn't stay at Spurs out of live for the badge. He flew off to Florida and went on strike to try and force the move to City he'd been begging for. He was told to get the fuck back to work, and the next summer was sold to Germany.

United wanted Bale, Levy told them to get fucked and eventually sold him to Madrid.

Rat face went on strike trying to force a move to Chelsea. He was, likewise, told to shut up and get back to work before eventually being sold to Madrid.

United wanted Dier and Dele, and long coveted Kane, were told to get stuffed on all accounts. Several English clubs wanted Eriksen for years, he was retained until we were done with him and then shipped out to Italy.

Spurs don't sell good players domestically. If Spence gets his head turned this summer, he'll be told to get back to work and he'll be playing in Germany or Italy in 18 months.
15-20 years ago. Wake up. We still have the same money Living Chairman in charge. We have the lowest wage bill and he won't buy decent players because he doesn't want that to increase. He sold Kane......Kane who gave his life for Spurs. Money is everything in this man's life. Football means nothing

I was calling for us to sack Ange since we lost to Ipswich. In truth, I started the season saying he needed to qualify for the CL and/or win a trophy to get a 3rd season. In September I said I wouldn't sack him "yet" but that this season was just more of the same dreadful shit from the season before and I'd be looking for replacements. And the first time I suggested he should be sacked was after the Wolves home match last season.

There's not really anyone here I think is more #AngeOut than me at this point.

And you've really taken this in a weird direction. I was digging you out for not supporting the players, not the manager. And I wasn't really digging you out, I just generally enjoy when someone in a match thread rages about how shit a player is and then they score. Probably my favourite part of match threads.
I am supporting the players. All except for Johnson. But in truth he can't help being Useless. He is not a League winning RW, or maybe you believe differently.

I was one of the first to say no to Kulu and Son being sold when most of the fans were yelling for them to go. My post was against Ange his management of the players. Son and Kulu should be rested. They've been over played. There was no need to play them today as starters. Against Ipswich we could have tried Moore in place of Son. Sarr instead of Kulu. I don't believe Sarr is Great either but it would have rested Kulu.

Every game we played for the past 2 months almost, has seen Son run into his marker and Kulu give away the ball. They've been diabolical at best. They need to be rest. My comment was about how they are playing and Ange is to be blamed. That is why, when you mocked, I believed you are standing up for Ange.

innit - usual tone policing.

:sonhmm:

So we can't celebrate players due your perception of them? If so then sure matey that's tote's gonna happen - it never works when people tone police on how to celebrate games.

Also if the players you mentioned went on to get 1 hattrick per game how would you celebrate? just continue to call them 'useless'??

Not going to lie you're coming across as a curmudgeon while also in soft way you're judging on how others should act or show their opinion as it doesn't meet your standards. Very healthy way of communicating by the way :)

Tone Policing is bad form my friend.
No. You can go Ape for the players. That is your choice. Don't get pissed off when I still find them crap. I don't do the Flip Flop like most fans. When we win, even if we play Crap, it's all Great. When we loose, we have the worst players. I maintain, win or loose, if a player is Shit, he is Shit. Son is overworked and is Shit. He had moments today but nothing to convince me he has overturned his form. I believe he has been overplayed and can't anymore. The same applies to Kulu. Johnson I believe is Shit period. Im happy with the win but I won't rejoice for mediocre performances. That is why we don't move forward.

And Small Team From Fulham losing, like getting those fancy chocolates at the end of a meal at a posh restaurant.

We do not have the lowest wage bill, we have the lowest wage ratio. This is not good, and we do need to increase it. But it's getting overly focused on in the past 6 months because we've made a concerted effort to conduct the squad rebuild that's been needed for years and has resulted in many, many high wage earners being shipped off the wage bill (Kane, Dier, Ndombele, etc.).

This has created a lot of spare room in the wage budget, even if we were to stick to our historical 50-55% of revenue level. This is precisely why you're wrong and we won't lose players like Spence because they're offered larger wages elsewhere.

He sold Kane. Kane who gave an interview during the season wanking off to the prospect of playing with KDB at City. Kane who flew off to Florida during preseason in protest to our refusal to sell him to City as he wanted. We made him play out another season, during which he sulked for months and played like shite, then sold him to a club in Germany we've yet to have to play or compete with in any meaningful way.

Fact - Levy was a Spurs season ticket holder long before he had a professional involvement in football.

Fact - Levy attends more football matches (including away to fucking Tamworth) than any other current, and likely any former, Premier League chairman.

Inference - Levy clearly does care about the football. Whether or not his blundering gets in the way or not it's a ridiculous charge to claim he doesn't care about what happens on the pitch. He's not contractually obligated to sit in a drafty "stand" in January watching us play fucking Tamworth.

Anyway, as always I hate when some of you make factually wrong statements and then my correcting them paints me as some sort of Levy supporter or apologist. I'd help pack up his office if he ever fucked off, just to get him out the door sooner. But some of you post some complete rubbish.

So your infinite wisdom was to rotate the squad and play younger players away to a club we lost to 2-1 at home in November when VDV was our only first team player who was injured?

This seems like a retrospective opinion, but fair enough if you said that before kickoff.

At this point we shouldn't be expecting to beat any professional football team without giving it our best go. We're shit.

You've been talking shit all afternoon, doubling down on taking no pleasure whatsoever from us scoring or winning or anything, yet what annoys me most is that you seem unable to distinguish between "lose" (= opposite of win) and "loose" (= opposite of tight).

Spence looked amazing (again) today, Madders looked very composed and creative when he came on, Bergvall looked really good, very composed today and Danso/Gray centreback partnership is really starting to firm up
Amazing to think that of those 5, only Maddison was genuinely considered a 1st team starter in August!!

Spence was as good as gone, Danso wasn't even on the radar, and Gray/Bergwall were supposed to be gently eased into the team!!
This season huh?
