Want Mason out in summer as well. What's his job title at us? Potential caretaker manager. Club need to install world class coaches in every part of club and that includes womens team, academy the lot. Not cheapskate shit.

Iraola, Silva, Frank all good managers but no experience at a big club. Likely to start well but than suffer the same fate as Ange. I think Ange would do better at a club like Palace than here at Tottenham. Players at those mid table clubs don’t have the egos like our players do. Players at those clubs aspire to go on to better things so they know they have to prove themselves. That means buy into the managers ideas and execute.

Tottenham players are spoilt brats. Nice new stadium and state of the art training facilities. Everything is nice and shiny. When you play for Tottenham you get all the nice things that you would get at clubs like Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool. However there is one thing you don’t get at Tottenham that you get at those clubs. That one thing is PRESSURE. You don’t get the pressure to have to actually win anything. You get to prance around like a big shot without actually having to do much.

A big name disciplinarian like Conte didn’t work and a nice guy like Ange doesn’t work. The problem with the nice guys like Ange is the players don’t respect him and his tactics. He is not a big name for the players so they see him as a nobody. Why would they buy into his tactics. The problem with the disciplinarian is our players are big softies that can’t handle the pressure.

The only possible solution is a big name manager who is a nice guy like Ange but has the respect of players but is not a disciplinarian. For me, that man is Carlo Ancelotti. He could be gone at Madrid soon but he would be out of his mind to come here if Levy came knocking

Crystal Palace would laugh at the idea of signing Ange. I'm really not sure why this keeps getting brought up - he's clearly not at the level to compete in this league, adapt his methods and tactics consistently enough and based on the tools at his disposal.

Pressure tends to come from consistently winning trophies and a recent history of success. As long as Levy is in charge, we will never have the appropriate level of investment to reflect the footballing aspirations of a major club and consistently challenge for those major honours.

remember what Ancelotti said " I get jobs because I'm Carlo Ancelotti I get the sack because I'm Carlo Ancelotti"

Xavi for me. Similar reasons but the football style isn’t such a huge deviation.

Did Forest laugh at signing Nuno after he failed at Tottenham. Did Fulham laugh at the idea of signing Silva after his Everton stint. Sometimes a manager and club aren’t the right fit for each other or the timing is off. Ange will end up somewhere else and he will succeed elsewhere in a European league. The jump from Celtic to Tottenham was always an uphill battle. To be honest I’m surprised he ended up here. I thought a championship side would have gone for him.

Barca fans were a bit frustrated about Xavi's tactical astuteness and adaptability. He did very well in his first season at Barca, but not so well in his second season; but the main reason Barca sacked him was due to comments about Barca's lack of transfer funds...

He won them La Liga with nothing close to the squad they have now.

They were really solid that first year. Dominated games with the ball, gave very little the other way. Second season they started to lean on early Yamal and he was still a kid so inconsistent. Raphina was coming off the bench a lot. They signed that donkey #6 who used to play for Southampton as well. It just wasn’t a great team and he was right about the investment.

Wages aside he would have way more resources to work with here and he’d also bring academy kids through plenty. Bergvall and Gray would definitely get minutes too.

xavi seems like a good try if we can get him. Track record with Spanish midfielders as managers is very good. A good mix of appropriate stubborness but humility to learn and adapt. Generally attacking, young players, etc. winning a title during that period at Barca is no small feat either.

There’s no guarantees for sure and we’ve tried almost every other path.

Do have a feeling chelsea might go for iraola if they create some sort of crazy dossier sacking maresca like they did with poch. Iraola for me is top choice or the current best argentinan manager. Dont want silva. Not a big club manager.
