I thought we were the better team today , created by far the better chances and could have won by 3 or 4 with a bit of luck . 2-2 was a very flattering score line for them , we deserved all 3 points today.

We didn't end up painted into that corner before. We'd identified replacements who turned us down.
Looking for a replacement isn't the same as negotiating a contract - not many managers would be open to negotiating a contract at this stage, as not many clubs would be forgiving of a manager doing so - which decreases their leverage and increases ours as there quickly becomes no road back for them with their current employer if things fall through. He can't be afforded the admittedly slim chance of fluking a mini meaningless late season win streak that might give Levy and co the impression that there still might be something salvageable from this "experiment". I had been indifferent towards him finishing the season for quite some time despite not rating him one bit, but I'm not anymore. Even this place was starting to buzz after beating lowly United and Ipswich, it's naive to think that Levy has his mind made up and will never be taken in no matter what happens from now on.
It most likely won't happen as he needs to be winning football matches against decent teams to begin with, but we can't take the even miniscule risk of wasting another season with this guy.
