I sometimes wonder if the players are hoping to get him sacked by playing woefully...or are the players woeful in their own right...?
At the very top of the game mate it's tiny margins because most elite players are within microns of each other. Now and again you get a Messi, a player a yard ahead or Kane six inches. But they are generational.

The point being motivation, the desire to push yourself the togetherness of the group the real belife you will prevail, carries you to winning titles. I don't think people stop trying but when that belife, that togetherness ebbs away. It can collapse a team. Maddison, stopped buying in sometime ago, you saw him grumbling to Sonny. I think more players than we suspect (Kulusevski spoke cryptically about game management) have big doubts about the viability of the football. Even the Romanian national team boss had a dig at the football we play.

I'd imagine both would bring their own assistants. Silva might bring Luis Boa Morte with him if he's willing to leave the Fulham setup.
I hope so. Generally we've been quite accommodating to coaches setting their own staff aside of Ryan being kept on. Nuno was the only one that we really shafted since he was only allowed to bring like 3 of his guys with him.

Of he stays about half the team will be off...

Well, in the last 5 games; we are 4th in the Premier League form table. So; clearly, we have vastly improved as players come back from injury.

I think this logic would be pretty weird if it were playing out in the dressing room.

A lot of these players have ambitions of playing in the Champions League. The pathway to that "promised land" is actually far easier than making top 4 in the EPL in general.

I struggle to believe they can't see that.

The truth most likely is somewhere between mental fatigue & lack of confidence. Form in sports is very much a confidence thing and a lack of it tends to produce a lot of basic errors.

The guy fooled all the idiots around the club (including the board) and among us fans with the line "I always win something in my second season"

That line alone made all the fools see the disaster happening in the league and yet keep wishing and hoping "we are still in 3 cups". League cup gone, and the disaster keep going, the fools keep saying "we are still in 2 cups, he always wins something in his 2nd season", we get trashed out of FA cup, disaster continues, the fools STILL come back saying "we are still in 1 cup, he always wins something in his second season".

It's like complete delusional set of fans who think this fraud is going to somehow fluke his way to a cup. It's like being on board the titanic, some people scream the ship is heading to the ice mountain, the captain says "I always get my ships to the destination safely", some people say "He always does". The realistic people still screaming "WE ARE HITTING THE ICE MOUNTAIN". And guess what happens.

Even if we get pass AZ-A, do you think we are getting pass the remaining teams with this guy? NOT A CHANCE. Another decent caretaker could well do it though. The board is wasting a real chance of winning EL with a move now, yet they are selling false dawn to the delusional fans that "he wins something in his second season".

On another topic, this fraud is taking this "EL cup" hope thing to give up on the league already. I will count from the ManC game, so he is giving up with 12 games to go???????

I thought JM's last few weeks were disaster, this situation here far passes that line.

Now I think there are only 2 scenarios Ange is sacked. Either we are out of Europa to AZ or we reached the finals. I wouldn't be surprised be Levy performs the stunt again to prevent Ange from winning it if we somehow go to Bilbao.

If he has a clause in his contract that will cut the compensation if he's out of the cup competition, there will also be a clause that increases the compensation if he wins it. But either way Levy won't lose.

And Ange won't walk. He wouldn't be so stupid to forsake millions of compensation. But most importantly walking away will admit he has fallen. He will leave on being sack and adamant his way will work if given more time. He's that stubborn of a prick.

He never fooled me, I already knew he was trash. Man Tottenham fans will believe anything because we're desperate to win something, but nobody can fool me. Maybe we need to learn a damn lesson and get relegated, because this season sucks, what's the point of even watching I just want it stop. It's not just Ange fault, let's be real the team don't give af. We're gonna lose the Europa league too lol, let's just be real. Just pray this bum Ange gets kicked to the curb before the next season starts and pray we get some players that actually give a crap about at least winning league matches.

Yes, he's twisting his words to that since before the Citeh game. Watch how he will twist it back when we are out of the Europa. He has no shame.
So much for the win at all costs mentality. I'm all for people adapting given the circumstances, however he really does contradict himself a lot.

His way might work in the Proctor and Gamble league but not in the premier.

My guess is that Ange will turn up as part of the football commentary somewhere. He is made for that job.

If he doesn't know something , he knows how to bullshit about that something. It's a speciality and he uses it to full advantage.

Ange when he's not destroying something you have a passion for, comes across as a likable enough fella. In his position I'm would have given the job opportunity a go. I couldn't work out if he really believed his coaching nonsense or not.

I don't think he's an actual fraudster so I'll say he probably did at least until about six months ago.

Hopefully something is cobbled together with a big slice of luck and people at least get some hope and joy in the EL to see him and the season out.

Problem is, what if he’s still fooling Levy?

I tend to agree but I always try to put myself in the shoes of the people who still want to keep Ange. They hang onto those first ten games but honestly we beat the three relegated teams needing a 100th minute goal to beat one of them, Bournemouth, Fulham, Palace, 9 man Liverpool with a goal in the 96th minute and a Man U in decline. There was some good in there and it was not wrong to get excited but there has been enough evidence since then to suggest that was the exception rather than the norm. For me, the norm is chaotic, unstructured football. There must be a game plan but it's so difficult to see. The players look like they are a combination of confused, devoid of confidence and simply out of form. This is squarely on Ange. I'm amazed none of Levy, Munn or Lange see this... if they do then their negligence in letting it continue is more concerning than Ange doing the same shit over and over again. In short, the next window of opportunity is Friday. If we get knocked out Thursday and he's still in charge at the weekend then for me, it's a clear sign Levy will give him another season.
