I don’t doubt Diblings talent but how many young players do we need?

All of them.

Under Levy it’s the only way we can possibly compete. Buy 10-15 players of Bergvall/Gray/Odoburt level for high fee/ low wages then hope 3-4 of them become Kane/Bale level players. In effect hope elite youngster become elite seniors.

It’s the only thing Levy has left as the football world changes. Beyond that we have nothing. Buying senior players won’t work as we don’t offer the wages for good ones.

The club need to buy Dibling/Tel and hope they become Kane and Bale and if they don’t we won’t do fuck all.

Agree completely- only viable club plan that works under the Levy/ENIC system is to hope to develop a core of young talent and then maybe a 1 season window where Levy might spend extra to try and get over the hump. There is nothing else for us.

Part of why at this point I much rather see stellar kids signing for us than re-signing Bentancur, et al.

It’s why I am massively in favour of bringing Poch back. Best manager there is developing a young core. If not Poch then someone of that ilk who is all about coaching and growing players. An elite tactician is less important than someone who can turn our kids into men. The ENIC model is all about turning rough diamonds into polished ones. It’s the only thing that will work.

Nah Kudus is a good player, he just thinks he’s too good for West Ham, which he is, much like Romero thinks he’s too good for us, so you’re getting only a fraction of the player’s capacity
not convinced by him at all. He plays with his head down even in his own half. Just runs down blind alleys a lot of the time. Where’s the combination play, no vision and little game intelligence. Don’t think you decide to play like that because you think you’re better than everyone else. Bowens their best player by far but actually plays like a proper player

We also need to bring in the right veterans to put around the kids.

By which I don't necessarily mean top shelf quality best of the best veterans/experienced players. But guys who have the right mentality and traits that they can hopefully influence and pass onto the kids. To make them the best that they can be.
