Normally we have had the likes of Redknapp, Conte or Pochettino to over perform the squad to compensate, not this time.
However the anger has mostly gone the chairman’s way this time as the club is living in Groundhog Day and the Jan window during an injury crisis was comical.
Despite that- which I agree with is a problem- there was actually a legit full squad he could have used, and decided not to. We have done unquestionably worse because he didn't know how to use all the pieces he already had access to.

You appear to have achieved very high levels of "rent-free" with Deuterz.
I think Ange is out of his depth, certainly with us anyway but he has a system which requires very specific pieces similar to Pep. He needs a Dominate DM, 2 proper wingers who can hold width and dribble. We don’t have that, it’s probably a mistake for this club to get a system manager even a good one as we don’t provide for it, club buys on financials (young or free or last year of contract etc) not in terms of fitting a way of playing.

Acting like the fans were partially acceptable for January FFS. Most of this forum thought the Jan window was crap. You had a few people (like him!!!) who wanted to pretend the late panic shit and signing a 19 year old was good stuff, but it wasn't a consensus.
For sure I agree the club did not give him the pieces he would have ideally needed. I don't know that Ange even really asked for it though- certainly nothing he seems to have said much about publicly. I see in August this past year he said he felt we had enough. Now apparently he see things differently.
Levy really needs to learn to be more practical and conservative with these decisions. He's been shooting for the moon the last 3 times out and blown off his foot each time.

I think I saw like two posters saying Jan was good and I could name them and nobody would be surprised.
Ultimately, fixing anything in a Jan window is always going to be plaster over gaping wound stuff. The best we ever did for it was Bentancur and Kulu because at least it was two more or less ready now players who went in to the XI even if long term people might debate their quality. That got us top 4.
The utter fucking stinking smouldering disgrace that was the summer window was the big smelly elephant shit left on the counter.
