Some decent thoughts here from Seb if I am being honest. Spurs are in a odd spot were we like to think that we are a big club that plays a certain way against everyone. But the reality is that we are still a club that needs to adapt to the circumstances. Both in house and outside of it.

Whoever takes over from Ange needs to think more in the lines of "what can we be?" rather than "what do we want to be".

Levy wants us to be a big club but he doesn’t want to act like one.

Spurs can be as big as anyone.

Don't allow the miser, and the few friends he has left, to persuade you we should accept second best.

Demand more from the miser and protest.

Make Spurs great again.

Bingo. He wants to hang with the big boys but is unwilling to put in the work to actually deserve a spot.

Thus all of the football staff at the club, or at least the decision makers, need to be people that can work around him and within his restrictions to make us as competitive as can be. Which arguably is EL-Conference level if I am being realistic.

The stadium is the best in the world.

The supporters are among the best in the Premier League.

Levy thinks he is the club.

It is on us to take it off him.

He isn't up to it.

Not us.

We’re a club on the field to make up the numbers , off the field thanks to Levy we can compete with the best that’s what we are simple as…….we are a business

I am giving my head a wobble and wandering how it has taken so many Spurs supporters 17 years plus to figure this out.

Martin Jol was sacked at half time and humiliated by Levy and ENIC in 2007.

Before Jol arrived Spurs had been in a desperate state.

Jol began the process of restoring belief in THFC.

He deserved better.

I have no sympathy for Levy whatsoever.

He's trousered a fortune and pissed on our dreams.

A worrying amount still haven't. They're happy to just exist. Levy offers them that. They're terrified of us going down the Leeds or the might of Bury FC.

I'm confused, wasn't the whole argument that generally speaking, the teams with the highest wages/income percentage are the most successful?

what are City, Liverpool and Gooner scum doing at the bottom? what are Palace, Everton and Norwich doing near the top?

This stat is skewed by the clubs income. Those paying a very high ratio are the clubs that earn the least. So they're not actually paying their players a lot of money.
Palace, for example, had a 2023 wage bill of £68m
It would make more sense to put clubs in brackets where those wealthier clubs are put in brackets to compare them to their peers.
So Arse on the other hand, had an annual wage bill of £170m but a lower ratio to Palace.
We had an annual wage bill of £112m despite bringing in more money than Arse.

It's nowhere near as simple as X% of income because you can only judge it against your rivals with similar incomes.

This is the narrative that will be peddled in defence of Levy.

Sugar, Levy and ENIC did not buy a club that made up the numbers. They turned us into a club who now make up the numbers. It is worth remembering that they did this side by side from 2001 - 2007 as shareholders.

When Sugar bought into Spurs he bought a club that had won the F.A, Cup more than any other team and broke transfer records to sign the best players ahead of all our main rivals.

Paul Gascoigne turned down Fergie's Manchester United to play for THFC.

Gary Lineker could have signed for anyone he wanted to but chose to sign for THFC.

So did Chris Waddle.

These fucking liars have trousered a fortune off THFC's reputation and given the bare minimum back.

Don't be persuaded by anyone that Spurs are a joke club.

The joke is on us for allowing these fuckers to take the piss.

Exactly.

We are not minnows striving to be giants.

We're giants who have been unwillingly sedated by predators.
