In all the years of terrible decisions, sticking with Scott’s Mum, Johan Tiny Tears and Ange is without doubt the worse decision of the whole lot. It’s cost millions. Tens of millions. It’s finally killed any ( limited ) credibility the club had. It’s resulted in a fractured and broken fan base. And levy has taken us to sub Everton levels.
To reflect as to why Ange is so bad is challenging. On many many very basic coaching levels you should not be setting up teams like this. It’s kick and rush, kids stuff and it has no credibility. None.
Now reflecting on something if I may, go back 25 years and you had a once a week highlights show on Australian TV and a weekly magazine / newspaper in Australia that reported the Premier League. That’s it. So when we were all growing up with actual coaches and actual exposure to 90 minutes of European football, Ange was likely just having his kick about avoiding the Crocodiles.
I think he’s come here and genuinely does not know the levels. Does not understand the rivalries and does not appreciate that being 15,16 or 17 is not an achievement. It’s a stain.
That he is backed up by a creepy suit like Munn just makes it all the worse, because he won’t get “it” any more than Flange does.
We should have appointed Ted Lasso, it’s the same difference.
