I think I got it, though I do think you worded it badly maybe?
Glorious defeat?Let's hope we put up an heroic performance like Villa did yesterday before going out?
There should be excitement even without optimism. Did you not feel the same way against MC in 2019 quarters and the League cup final when Mason was in charge? The first one exceeded my expectations.Weird feeling having no excitement or optimism with a quarter final tomorrow night
I was just implying it was VAR's fault for the 28-hour gap between our match updates and the actual match. VAR: Very Aggravating Recess.
Plucky
Nah usually always optimistic and was at the city game when we won in 2019 but giving it up this year after 20years a ST, lost the excitement for it now. There should be excitement even without optimism. It is the same way I feel every year when we play at Anfield and Stamford Bridge whoever is the Manager and whatever the team.
Ok fair enough. But in every tie such as Dortmund / Barca or PSG/ Villa , the contrast in both legs was stark. Polar opposites.Watched them at home in the BL several times, they can score on the break but imo better suited to being away from home in Europe.
We created enough to win twice when they were sitting in. If they come out and play football against us because they are at home, they will score but so will we and imo we will score more.
With Son not travelling, Tel probably replaces him in starting X1 with Scarlett being added to the bench :
Vicario,
Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence
Bentancur, Bergvall, Maddison
Kulusevski, Solanke, Tel
Subs : Austin, Danso, Davies, Udogie, Gray, Sarr, Bissouma, Odobert, Richarlison, Moore, Johnson, Scarlett (12)
Sonny being injured has cheered me right up.
Tel time.
If it's Kulu/Odobert instead of Johnson on the right we might suddenly start looking like a football team.
Johnson will start over Kulu.
As dumb as it sounds, there's a very good chance that Udog and Porro will start over Spence.
Porro and Udogie are starting, nailed on. That’s why they were left out at the weekend.
