Weird feeling having no excitement or optimism with a quarter final tomorrow night
There should be excitement even without optimism. Did you not feel the same way against MC in 2019 quarters and the League cup final when Mason was in charge? The first one exceeded my expectations.
It is the same way I feel every year when we play at Anfield and Stamford Bridge whoever is the Manager and whatever the team.

Quite like the semi automated VAR. Will be AI eventually imo.
I was just implying it was VAR's fault for the 28-hour gap between our match updates and the actual match. VAR: Very Aggravating Recess.

Technology is useful, when used wisely.

I'd like to see automatic offside, as long as it's biased towards us.
I'd like to see automatic bans for opposition team members who get in the ref's face.
I'm up for a sin-bin. City and dippers played pro-fouls way more than anyone else.
I'm also up for 'challenges' where each coach gets 2 per match and can use the vid screen and talk to the VAR room (this could be abused, of course, but at least it would give Plopp, Farteta and Poop* less room to hide their bullshit).
Most of all, I want a real-time audio of the process, so we can hear them winging it like a bunch of teenagers on YTS scheme.

* sorry, I'm bored.

With Son not travelling, Tel probably replaces him in starting X1 with Scarlett being added to the bench :
Vicario,
Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence
Bentancur, Bergvall, Maddison
Kulusevski, Solanke, Tel

Subs : Austin, Danso, Davies, Udogie, Gray, Sarr, Bissouma, Odobert, Richarlison, Moore, Johnson, Scarlett (12)

Nah usually always optimistic and was at the city game when we won in 2019 but giving it up this year after 20years a ST, lost the excitement for it now.

Watched them at home in the BL several times, they can score on the break but imo better suited to being away from home in Europe.

We created enough to win twice when they were sitting in. If they come out and play football against us because they are at home, they will score but so will we and imo we will score more.
Ok fair enough. But in every tie such as Dortmund / Barca or PSG/ Villa , the contrast in both legs was stark. Polar opposites.
I hope you're right but have my doubts.

Johnson will start over Kulu.
As dumb as it sounds, there's a very good chance that Udog and Porro will start over Spence.
