If we keep him (and most of this squad) we're going to have a similar season next season regardless of what happens in the Europa League. Losing this much is historically hard to undo, you see it with clubs that go down into the championship like Luton, try to keep the squad together in the hopes they should (and they should) have too much quality for the championship and then struggle massively. The clubs that comeback like Leicester and Leeds usually rebuild from Manager to squad, because the well is poisoned from making losing a habit.
Some people should remember that he was allowed to leave a far from great Juventus team to join us. I genuinely don't recall him playing a few good games in succession in his time with us. Now and again he will play a blinder and then for some people it's as if all the 5/10 performances prior didn't happen or doesn't matter.

We haven't been able to defend for years. I always thought it was crazy that we were a Mourinho team and a Conte team that couldn't defend. Now we've taken that same inability and given the opposing team their entire half of the pitch to run into. And apparently a keeper that is now prone to at least one ridiculous goal conceding error per game. We at least seem to string together a couple passes today. Haven't been able to convert yet. I can't be the only one who cringes everytime we turn the ball over - expecting it to be a 4 on 2 within seconds.

I feel for the defenders who have the misfortune of playing in front of a keeper as powder puff as Vicario is. You'd normally expect your keeper to instill confidence in his teammates with the way he commands his area. The guy is scared of his own shadow. We've played far far worse this season, I don't think we've played badly at all. Just clownshoe defense on two set pieces and not taking our chances, largely due to Richarlison being fucking shit.
The young wingers have been nice and direct and caused them problems, Spence and Porro contributing well attacking wise. This is light years better than what we've seen in half our games.

I think that if Tel joined from Hoffenheim and not Bayern there's little chance anyone would be really excited at the prospect of spending 45 million on him.
