I have a degree in Sports Science, and I played football to a high (semi-pro) level. Given our season, the EL on Thursday is clearly far more important than today's league game, especially given Solanke and Maddison may be injured. The result today will mean very little with regards to Thursday's game.
 
Not sure that I agree with the "nothing game" takes. Yes the EL is more important but I still want to win so we can build some form. I'd be much more comfortable going into the EL second leg and a potential final in good form.
