See how the subjects mind has taken on grand delusions, mania and incoherence as the brain begins to shut down from the parasitical infection Angelus Postecoglovorax in its late stages. Whilst deadly at this stage, the parasite does not yet kill the host, but rather takes over the subjects central nervous system to manipulate the mind to further its own chances at survival.
With the brain already half consumed at this stage (to supply the Angelus Postecoglovorax with much needed nutrition) the parasite takes on a large appearance, becoming rotund and distended. This can be seen as “gorging” on its victim, with the intention of fattening itself up for its uncertain future. The host takes on a zombie-like state, exhibiting a vacant stare and an inability to think critically, often spouting nonsensical tirades. During this terminal stage, the host will often exhibit incoherent language, uttering terms such as “mate…mate…mate”. It is not yet known why these symptoms appear, but one theory is that the parasites eagerness to reproduce or “mate” to further infect other potential victims begins to manifest in the victims speech.
Whilst fairly harmless and ineffective in its early stages, failure to treat Angelus Postecoglovorax with aggressive medical intervention can lead to catastrophe for the host. At this stage, the Angelus drains all of hosts resources, leading to the victims demise, before making its way into the bowel and exiting through the rectum, in hopes of continuing its survival and infecting other subjects.
