Agreed. It is definitely something that we have struggled with under Ange. And even before that. Davinson Sanchez falls into a similar category. Good enough to be a back up, but we didn't rotate him in well enough so whenever he was asked to play he needed a few games to work out the rust.
Mate he couldn't even hold down a spot at Brentford. Let's not get misty eyed about a player who just isn't quite at the level required.

Looks a lot better in this role than against Palace. He could do the job Eric Dier did for Poch. Midfield shielding the back 4 when they have the ball, then drop between the centre backs when we win it so the full backs can get forward without leaving us too exposed.
