Match We can be heroes part two Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester united UEFA Cup final. Bilbao 21st May

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Got back to the hotel at 1:30, massive headache so took two paracetamol and went to bed. Work up at 7 ,still with headache and took another two. Felt like a hangover, but I was driving back last night and only drank water all day.

Pretty sure it was an adrenaline rush. My cardiologist would have a heart attack if I told him. Having a beer at the airport now. That should fix it.

Genuinely the worst game I’ve ever sat through. I’ve never felt so nervous in my life.

With the CL final, we knew it was over in the first half, so the nerves didn’t last as long 😂

From 87+ minutes I had to go outside into the garden twice because I couldn’t bear to watch.

Came dashing back in both times after about 30 seconds as it turned out I couldn’t bear not to watch either.

Don’t think I’ve ever felt such tension watch a match either.

If anybody has any pictures of the D A R E tifo before kick off in Bilbao, link them to me please. I swear I want that thing on a t-shirt. Even our players going over to our fans for the huddle psyched United out - people from Bilbao were saying everybody wanted Tottenham to win and the fans had the edge.
I missed the tifo moment, here's a little vid though. No good for a t-shirt unfortunately...

Anyone else feel that their life a little shorter. Cos of last night.
I am fucking knackered. Emotionally drained. Haven't even got the energy to piss take.
Just pure unadulterated relief .

Being a Yid should come with a health warning or something .

At full time got asked by three different young uns if I was OK. Felt like it was Help the Aged Day.

In the pub there were a couple of young orthodox Jews lads. Very quite. Full time they went to leave a geezer grabs them. They ain't going nowhere. Immediately started dancng with a unbridled joy.

I love this club but it battered me Emotionally. This win meant so much. Everything. To see the joy on the faces of the Yid army. Priceless

I am going to plonk myself in a pub tonight.

First, the Ajax seni-final. Then for the first time since we lost to Liverpool, I will watch the final, and then last night.

The pain has been exorcised, and must be celebrated.

This.

2019 destroyed me. Honestly I was so affected by that defeat psychologically. Football wasnt the same and hasnt been since. Now it is a weight off my shoulders. I can just go to games and enjoy being there. That win last night has lifted off so much pressure and it probably hasnt even really sunk in yet. I think that will come for all of us in the next few years and I'm looking forward to seeing this thread randomly bumped when someone posts in it saying they suddenly thought about the game or remembered something that happened to them or in the game last night.

I said to my kids before the game last night (as I had to prepare them for in case we lost) that as they know the life of a Spurs fan isnt an easy one, but when we have that small bit of glory, and it may be tonight, you've got to embrace it, celebrate it, love it. If it doesnt happen tonight, then dont worry, it will and it will be great......it did happen, and it was.

This is why trophies matter by the way. No top four finish, even the 2010 one, comes close to the euphoria of this. Excellence in the PL is vital and has its own benefits of course. But look around, look what winning trophies does. I never want to see us palming off cups like the 'Ropey League' ever again.
I always wanted us to win this trophy. I remember fuming in Pochs first season when he rotated and we got limply knocked out by Fiorentina. The final ended up being Dnipro vs Sevilla, we really should have won it that year.
