Player Yves Bissouma

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Such a shame that he can't produce this form on a regular basis , some games I have watched him in and he's looked like a ring amateur , really don't know if he can produce regularly , and that is what you need in a 6 .

Great game for him to bow out with, but we mustn’t let this win make us go soft on players that need to be moved on.

What rotation? We are playing CL next season, not Europa League. Archie can play all the minutes in the domestic cups.

He has one year left on his deal and we need to take the money now, no way we extend. Bentancur deserves a new deal of the two senior players.

Out of whom Bissouma is not one.
Never has been.

Do you understand why he was good?
Because WE PLAYED WITH THREE MIDFIELDERS.

And why he has been poor for most of Ange tenure?
Because we usually do play with ONE. That is unsustainable tactics.

Biss stay, Ange go. Simple.
Should need more quality to CM - agreed, but would rather see him be outplayed in normal system before letting him go.

He’s such an enigma as a player. Last night, and his other recent games have been the same Biss that we saw doing great things at Brighton, he’s just been woefully inconsistent.
last night was the player hes supposed to be. high energy, providing us bite in front of the defence. the occasional bit of quality where he can put his foot on the ball and calm things down a bit too. but hes not going to be modric and start dictating tempo and playmaking from deep. put good midfielders around him and you have your screener for the defence.

id personally give him a chance under a new manager in a proper setup and hopefully around new additions.

he was possessed last night, even won the header on the very last corner! he was not going to be beat. you need players that can go into the trenches like that on the big occasions.

Levyenomics
Bissouma 2 year extensions with weekly wage moving from 55k to 65k - total investment about 6.5m
Buying a replacement for 40m and paying them 150k a week - total investment about 70m
Where do you think Levy will land?

It’s fantastic that we won but let’s not kid ourselves, we packed the defence and Utd failed to break us down. In both the EPL and Champions League we’ll need to play actual football and this is where the likes of Bissouma will come unstuck. Upgrades and more quality in depth is essential.

This is the Bissouma thread! :sonpoint:
