Felt the same with my Step Dad, though lost him many years ago. He came into my life when I was 11 and took me to my first ever Football game and I have been Spurs from that day. So many memories and would loved him to have seen all this. Massive memories and emotions of being there in 84 with him when we last won this..

I love the slightly awkward back-tapping Son Snr does, kind of like “I’ve never done this before, this is lovely but I’m feeling very awkward, let me know when we let go”.
I still maintain that the "major silverware" claim is a huge misconception. The 1999 and 2008 League Cups were a lot harder to win than the 1991 FA Cup - to secure the former trophies we had to beat Liverpool at Anfield, beat the treble-winning Manchester United team, win matches with 10 men, grind out wins against tenacious opposition and beat peak-Abramovic Chelsea.
In 1991, we did not face any top flight opposition until the semi-final against Woolwich and got very lucky in the final when Gascoigne wasn't sent off.
The only real difference between the League Cup and the FA Cup is that the FA Cup Final is televised by the BBC and has a lot more pageantry attached to it. The Milk, Littlewoods, Rumbelows, Coca Cola, Worthington, Carling, Capital One and Carabao Cups have more commercial associations. The FA Cup has a sponsor as well although that conveniently gets forgotten.

I’m going to both although I think the Brighton game will be unbelievably pointless as the players will most likely still be hungover.
