That coverage was absolutely brilliant. Congratulations to all involved. A thousand miles away I felt I was there - the interviews on the bus, the music and the singing outside the ground, the joy and love and laughs from everyone, the interviews with the legends, the chats with the fans on the street (fave moment - the young lad - 8? - saying it was the best moment of his life and the interviewer saying it was his too), just everything about it. We absolutely nailed it.

My all time fave moment was the interview on the bus with Porrito, having a helluva time, and Birthday Boy Bren photobombing it, swigging his beer and pulling funny grins.

I was laughing out loud laughing out loud laughing out loud with goose bumps at the same time.

So much love.
Getting his best moment in life with Spurs at 8 years old???

Spoiled cunt!

but Bilbao was an amazing experience and just so proud to be a yid - Bilbao was a sea of white on the Tuesday nightswith bars rammed with spurs fans all good natured and a cracking atmosphere to set things up nicely Wednesday was just unbelievable the fan park so professionally run great fun and amazing atmosphere with amazing numbers was buzzing - then the game the neutral zones seemed predominantly spurs / after the game the players wouldn’t leave the pitch and the fans wouldn’t leave the stadium by midnight stewards got fed up trying to shuffle the players off the pitch and us out of the stadium - all good natured then on Thursday still spurs everywhere all good natured just glowing in victory - thinking we really are a massive club - got back to brum about 2pm today so was never gonna be down for the parade but watched it on spurs play - again the club being classy and putting on a show and the fans showing what it means
Happy happy days and gonna love sunday whatever the score times like this are what it is really all about Coys
I can't tell you how much I've been loving reading about everyone's time there.

Out of curiosity, did you talk to many locals? I get the idea that they were sort of with us, feeing that they'd been cheated and, a couple of accounts I read, that United fans had condescended them or something like that.

I "know" an old (83 or so) Athletic fan from just up the river, only by telephone (a weird story for another day), he knows I'm a Spurs man and he phoned my wife to wish us all the best, I got the feel from him (through my wife) that they were all pro-Spurs.

Just got back, didn't venture too far in, just got hammered outside Gina's. Didn't know if my son would last until they came round our way, but he did and madders threw a darts celebration at his head to cement this memory for the rest of his life. What a day. What a week.

Me too in feel the privilege of bringing in Bilboa! Did a day trip so went earlier. Tonight was great fun. Loved following the bus! And can’t wait for Sunday. Whether I can speak again after all this is another question!

There was some immense petty anti Man U Graf in the park which I loved.

One of the best things about tonight was all the locals coming out down Lansdown Road and then following the bus. So proud and so chuffed to see genuine local love - means a lot to mean something to our local community.

Shadydan Shadydan can you name and shame all these negative nonces please.....you have a decent list. The last couple of days especially to do what they've done is outfuckingRAGEous beyond belief....

To feel it was an appropriate time time to come out of the woodworks and start spouting their anger at the club and the man himself at the helm.....just after what we've achieved.....Read the feggin ROOM for Christs sake.....

Another blatant ‘I was there post’ (& still recovering….

I spoke to many locals - great recommendations for restaurants, learnt a bit of Basque etc. The overwhelming majority wished us well and genuinely seemed to want Spurs to win. At the time I perhaps thought they were telling me what I wanted to hear but in hindsight I’d think it was genuine.

Plenty of anti-Man Utd graffiti in town (the park near the Guggenheim) along with anti Rangers and Roma (who I’m guessing had played in Bilbao this season).

Obviously, an outstanding trip for football reasons but glad I got to see the city. Reminded me of Newcastle
