Management Ange Apology Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Simply reflecting on your posts .

I know you’re disappointed with our League form ; but any 8-year old understands that there are both swings and roundabouts; eventually as you grow older you’ll realise you can’t ride both at the same time .

Have fun on one or the other if you can’t do both ; you actually may enjoy life more that way .
You're actually incorrect. You can both have a good run in a cup and perform well in the league. That's actually the most common scenario.

We could've won that cup with any manager. That both Man U and Spurs reached the final despite their terrible form should be enough to understand that the competition isn't exactly top notch.

For some reason you seem to think it's childish to call things for what they are. Can't please everyone I suppose.

Doubles , Trebles ; are few and very very far between ( look it up ) .

No Manager / Team has EVER won a quadruple .

If “ any manager “ could have won that Cup for us ; why did we have to wait 41 years for it to happen ?

That’s For-ty-one years . BTW .

The players clearly love him, sacking him would disrupt the team and would be a bad PR move. If we were to get a new manager, the minute we start playing bad the lot of you will be complaining saying why did we sack Ange. The man earned the right to have another crack at it. He has to stay,

Of course they love him, they can finish 17th in the league and be his mate.

Sorry but he hasn't earned the right to have another crack. 17th in the league is not earning the right. It just isn't

What I got wrong, you idiot? Should I have praised that man for the shite football we player all the season? We played the same crap in Europe, and just won because we have a hell of a squad that this moron manager to get 17th place in the EPL under his stupid tactics. I've thankfull for the players, that despiste playing this horrible blend of football, that doesn't work most of the time, kept on giving 100%. Thankfull we'll get rid of Ange next season, instead we'll get relegated.

PS: You were in my ignore list because you are so stupid that sometimes I think you were Ange with tour naive opinions on football, thanks for remember me, now go to ignore again.

You called him a fraud.... he followed through on what he has promised since coming here. Turned us into a team that won something.

The league form was shite... but he followed through.

I can see a scenario where he is given another season and it works with all ducks in a row. We need to buy players to improve the starting 11 in midfield though.
I’m glad we’ve bought excellent future prospects with high ceilings like bergvall, gray, odobert, Sarr, even maybe Tel. But the first team needed a complete rebuild and we’re only half way through that. We need to buy one or two ready made players of champions league quality to improve the starting 11. We are almost a good team on paper

So the Ange thread is for critical hatred and the evangelist thread is for cultlike admiration. So happy we got another one to cover this subject. My favourite food is Chinese: duck pancakes, satay skewers, sweet and sour chicken - love it.

Don't think anyone needs to apologise at all for wanting a manager sacked who has led us 17th in the league.

BUT

Anyone who called him a "fat cunt" has no business being on here celebrating that European Trophy.

Why not? You can dislike a manager a lot and support the club still. And I say that as someone who didn't call him that.

Ange is a bit marmitey. A lot of people really don't like him and a lot of people really take to him. He can come across as incredibly arrogant, like Jose level arrogant, and people who are that arrogant are gonna come in for abuse when things aren't going well.

I called Jose a cunt when he was here, because he is one. I imagine lots of people did the same. It's not like with Poch or Nuno where they're actually genuinely decent, fundamentally likeable guys.

I think we won the title despite of Ange not thanks to him. He's shown that he's not good enough in the league. And in the EL he won, by not playing Ange-boll, but by playing Mourinho-ball. The, thats who we are mate, mate, turns him self around completely. Something feels fishy here. Was it even him or was it the players, or Mason. I don't know, we will probably never know.

All I know is that I don't trust him to lead the team next season.

We do know.

He is entirely responsible for delivering the European Cup. Just as he's entirely responsible for delivering the 17th position in the league.

The players fucking love him. They would literally punch you in the face for suggesting otherwise. This isn't a defence of him btw - just observable fact.

I just don't think you get to call a manager a "fat cunt" and then get to revel in the feelings of joy his success has brought. And I know you never called him that. And I fully respect your reasons for not wanting him to be our manager and I think by and large your concerns have been proved right. I agreed with many of them and so include myself in the group of Spurs fans who don't really "deserve" this celebration as much as others (who just always remained optimistic and "loyal").

We have to face the consequences of our opinions and statements. I think you do but there are so many on here who are showing the most cringeworthy hypocrisy. just needs mentioning.

As we have all seen make numerous changes in cup competitions like all previous Managers did then you get knocked out. Ange made numerous changes in PL matches and we lost match after match. Not any Manager would have won that as they would have yielded to Levy and prioritised the PL but Ange had the courage to go for it. Frankfurt were not easy.
