100% losing if davies starts. front 4 is weak too. this games worth millions in prize money jumps. can finish 14th if we win and the 3 above lose.

danso deserves a start, romero and VDV will have to share the minutes for the other slot. forget tel, should be sending him back anyway so wouldnt give him any game time. we are fucking mugs if we are going to waste 30m on him! rather add 10 and get garnacho...not that i think hes worth 40 but you get better value from your money if youre not going to spend it right anyway.
No confidence most main players are in any real fit state to start and be properly effective.

Romero injured.

Tell has to go, but I'd still start him.

If this game was gonna be a priority due to finish-place prize money I suspect the rules about drinking would have been more strict tbh.

Players were literally smashed when we saw them and you can bet the drinking continued.

oh yea they celebrated and rightly so. the difference in money from 17th and 14th will be a sizeable chunk of dough. this is a big money game. agree with starts for danso, gray, kinsky and spence. the rest should be as strong as poss.

I'm aware of the prize scaling; made a post about it.

Again, if this game was a priority with that in mind, then I can't believe such a liberal booze policy would have been in place.

Because I can't see how you get peak performance out of most of that bunch, as they were absolutely wankered.

Think the opportunity to celebrate something special and use it as a unique bonding experience that can benefit them going forward, as a group, trumped anything else.

Can't imagine anyone cares about 14th at this point. It's unlikely all 3 ahead of us will drop points anyway. In football terms, ±£5M is nothing.

They deserved their party, and deserve another round of celebrations at this match. No one cares about the result - we finally won a trophy!

There was a survey among supporter groups for every PL team at the time done back in like 2021 I believe.

Damn near everyone had us as either their second or third biggest rival. Like, it doesn't make sense.

It does to me.
Our fans are assholes. Look at this place.

We’ve just won our first trophy in almost half a century and arguments everywhere.

Imagine what we must look and act like to rival fans!

We will be insufferable now we have won another European trophy!!

Embrace the hate!!!! :)

On the prize money front for league position not sure it will be in the forefront of the minds of Ange and the players , probably more in the mind of Collecott as he budgets for next season , on the financial front he is Levy's sidekick.
To make up for loss of PL prize money we have probably made in the region of £25 million in UEFA prize money plus the gate money / catering/ merchandise from seven home Europa matches , four of those were at lower prices but should still add up to a decent amount .
Time for a few youngsters today , were 17th and it's 17 years since a trophy we might as well stay 17th , seems it all ties up nicely.

The one thing I want to see is full AngeBall today. Fuck thinking about defending. If we concede 12, so be it. Just go full out attack and give the fans a real spectacle. We’re gonna have a party either way, even if we get destroyed by Brighton.

This isn't true. We will not start randomly beefing with Brentford fans saying you're shit what have you won. That's what an asrehole is. it's exactly what Leicester City did. Go over to General football and look at the reactions when Palace won the FA cup. People on both sides of the Postecoglou devide were really happy for them.

The simply truth is it's been the appointment performance and attitude of the Australian and frankly maximum over dose of Levy's bull that's torn the fan base in two. I've been a regular sincthe e end of the 80's this period has been utterly unreflective of any time EVER in our history. When we were relegated it wasn't like this.

If it’s potentially the last game for senior players like Son, Davies, Romero, Bentancur, Bissouma… there’s no reason to stop them fully celebrating
