That’s entirely sentimental and based on a good cup run to a trophy, totally ignoring the last 18 months dire league form.

Personally I can’t ignore the fact we’d have been relegated if not for the poor performance of the bottom three (two of which beat us)!

I definitely agree with this. It's not about what anybody "deserves", it's about what's the best foot to put forward for the club going into the future.

There are many reasons why he should go but the way he publicly treated Timo was disgraceful!

What should have been a conversation for his office with Timo was brought up when he was being interviewed on television.

But I’ve always been adamant that he should have gone after 9 man high line against the Chavs in 2023!

Yes he got us over the line for European Trophy which we won despite him!

He needs to go before this weekend when the new transfer window opens!

The scenario you mention is exactly the same when Ramos was in charge and we got 'Arry, and that didn't turn out too bad!
Seriously, I have no idea what's going to be best, it's Levy's decision at the end of the day, and I wouldn't like to be in his shoes for all the tea in China.
Either way, all we want is for our Club to be successful and keeping everything crossed that it turns out for the best.

I personally think the "won despite him" is a bit unfair. He clearly has a bond with many of the players and has created some kind of "EL or bust" mentality very effecitvely over the past couple of months.

But that's not to say there aren't better options out there. Our league form is just so bad that it would IMO be misguided to think he';s a cup magician and that there is very little chance of relegation if we stick with him. He took us far too close this year, and got us over line (just) in the easiest cup to win if I'm honest (actually better to win IMO than the FA and CC, but easier also).

In reality if we keep him, I think we'll be bottom half of table come November and wondering what on earth we are doing again. Better to go amicably now.

That said, I actually think we will keep him for a bit. Suspect the parade and players' fondness for him weights heavily.

I’ve just watched it and thought that he was non-committal so difficult to judge but he could have given Ange a vote of confidence and chose not to!
