Bottom line is Poch took us to the high water mark of modern times, even if he did not reach the summit. Levy could have invested and he may well have done it. We don't know, but Poch was closer than anyone else.
No one ever had to defend Poch having the relegation line written right below our club's name in the table, or Poch having lost more games than he won, as Ange has.
Poch won more than twice as many league games (113) as he lost (46). The Australian donut has won 31 and lost 34, with 8 of those wins coming in his first 10. He's utterly useless.

can't really think of any games where we were unfortunate to lose.I've just had a look in more detail at our season stats.
Not only did we concede a ton of goals, but according to XG metrics over the season, we should actually have conceded more (68). That is also more goals than the teams who finished 16th and 17th last season too.
As against that: the home 2-2 with AFCB was complete fluke. The 1-1 with FFC they were well on top.
Some matches the oppo couldve scored way more. LFC 3-6 they couldve got double figures. Villa in the cup 2-1 was a daft scoreline.
The 2 goals at EFC to make a respectable scoreline were when we were 3-0 and Everton were coasting.

Good work! We are sliding. And those who think EL means we shouldn't be seriously alarmed by this - and act - are pretty dangerous for this club!
100pc. We are a massive club. Mid-week EL games this season against non-entities and we're getting 50-55k fans. And the shortfall is in large part down to low uptake of premium seats.
He must have been thinking about it for weeks. He isn't going to get any more information now, he must know what he plans to do.

But we aren't a massive club, per some of these Ange Innies. We shouldn't expect any better than being a cup team. We are happy to stay in the top flight, but otherwise our league position doesn't matter. Knock over some Europa pins like Qarabag, Elfsborg, Bodo... hope to pinch a cup now and again. We'll never be City or Liverpool, so this is our lot - basically, the same way Spam fans operate.
i actually think some people are annoyed he won the EL with us as it doesn’t suit the losers narrative , I’ve said many times in the past I wanted him gone , but the time to sack him was months ago (IMO) but maybe if we done that we don’t win the EL.
It’s a hard decision for Levy to make but no doubt whatever ends up being the wrong decision is the one we make.
Yes is the simple answer. But VDV did bust a gut and risk injury for the team and some of that expression comes from the managers ability to make the team. So don’t throw away that winning mentality if we can help it no?

He loves the club and wants to win. If you need a manager to tell you to leap in front of a ball in a cup final you never would have reached this level
You are free to include 15th place United, or whomever turned up in their shirts and still held us without a shot on target while scoring an own goal. Acknowledging that we had a morning stroll through Europa doesn't shrink the trophy, it's an acceptance of reality that Ange did not work any sort of a miracle there that changes who he is. And of course on Sunday it was right back to who he is.
It's nothing special, I'm glad we won, but Europa League is a shite league, we never won before probably because we never took it serious and most of the years, recently, we were playing UCL. Europa League is the second division of Europe. The level of performance we showed in Europe this season wouldn't be enough to advance to the knockouts of the UCL.
