Bottom line is Poch took us to the high water mark of modern times, even if he did not reach the summit. Levy could have invested and he may well have done it. We don't know, but Poch was closer than anyone else.Don't sully poch's good years...he got us to a CL final against great teams. Not Frodo Glimt...lost to some pretty terrible teams I know but he was at times a fantastic manager...
So relegation if we keep himOk, so I have put all Ange's PL games into the sheet (basically the whole of 23/24 and 24/25)
- He has won 104 points as manager (38 this season, and 66 last season)
- By the 10th game of 23/24, after beating Palace, we had 26 points. That means 25% of his points were in the first 10 games.
- The last 25% of his points have been in the last 30 games. [we had 13 points by 8 games in of this season]
- So, in the last 30 games, we have won 25 points. That's a PPG of 0.83. Or, over a season, around 31-32 points.
- In the last 10 games, we have won 5 points, for a PPG of 0.5. Or, over a season, 19 points. Less than Ipswich (22).
can't really think of any games where we were unfortunate to lose.I've just had a look in more detail at our season stats.
Not only did we concede a ton of goals, but according to XG metrics over the season, we should actually have conceded more (68). That is also more goals than the teams who finished 16th and 17th last season too.

Nothing more needs to be written. He's a loser and an incompetent, and returning him next year is utter insanity
Good work! We are sliding. And those who think EL means we shouldn't be seriously alarmed by this - and act - are pretty dangerous for this club!Ok, so I have put all Ange's PL games into the sheet (basically the whole of 23/24 and 24/25)

100pc. We are a massive club. Mid-week EL games this season against non-entities and we're getting 50-55k fans. And the shortfall is in large part down to low uptake of premium seats. This !!!! How ever many Years of ENIC have made a lot of people forget what a powerhouse this club is! That victory parade showed that not only do we have one of the biggest and best support bases in London, but i'd go even as far as the PL!
He must have been thinking about it for weeks. He isn't going to get any more information now, he must know what he plans to do.
Going down as Chamions league winners next season?
But we aren't a massive club, per some of these Ange Innies. We shouldn't expect any better than being a cup team. We are happy to stay in the top flight, but otherwise our league position doesn't matter. Knock over some Europa pins like Qarabag, Elfsborg, Bodo... hope to pinch a cup now and again. We'll never be City or Liverpool, so this is our lot - basically, the same way Spam fans operate.100pc. We are a massive club. i actually think some people are annoyed he won the EL with us as it doesn’t suit the losers narrative , I’ve said many times in the past I wanted him gone , but the time to sack him was months ago (IMO) but maybe if we done that we don’t win the EL.OMG the meltdown in this place if he stays might be one of the most epic the internet has ever seen.
Yes is the simple answer. But VDV did bust a gut and risk injury for the team and some of that expression comes from the managers ability to make the team. So don’t throw away that winning mentality if we can help it no?Following that reasoning, let's say van de vyn was a second late and didn't block that shot against Man United and Spurs had went on to lose in a shootout, would you have fired him then because there was no trophy?
I wonder. A handful of wig flippers will flip their wigs, but they have been doing that on the hour every hour for about 6 months now anyway.OMG the meltdown in this place if he stays might be one of the most epic the internet has ever seen.
Why leave out United? The same United who won 2 trophies under a manager they wanted sacked , the same United that many on here thought we would lose to?
What happens if VDV sees that ball floating toward the goal and there's a different manager? He just says "meh fuck that"?Yes is the simple answer. You are free to include 15th place United, or whomever turned up in their shirts and still held us without a shot on target while scoring an own goal. Acknowledging that we had a morning stroll through Europa doesn't shrink the trophy, it's an acceptance of reality that Ange did not work any sort of a miracle there that changes who he is. And of course on Sunday it was right back to who he is.Why leave out United? The same United who won 2 trophies under a manager they wanted sacked , the same United that many on here thought we would lose to?
At the end of the day you can only beat who you play in the EL, I’ve even had gooners saying they are jealous of us winning a European trophy but some of our fans are writing it off as nothing special?
It's nothing special, I'm glad we won, but Europa League is a shite league, we never won before probably because we never took it serious and most of the years, recently, we were playing UCL. Europa League is the second division of Europe. The level of performance we showed in Europe this season wouldn't be enough to advance to the knockouts of the UCL.Why leave out United? The same United who won 2 trophies under a manager they wanted sacked , the same United that many on here thought we would lose to?
