Way over expecting
Nope.Is Cheriki actually that good? I've seen him few times he looked pretty decent but is he that good?
It is the most bizarre squad building we have. All the players we buy like Udogie, Tel, Odobert, Bergvall, Gray are youngish talents but rough edged, some more than others
It’s like we have been buying an entire squad for Pochettino but without Pochettino. We will now get Paratici who can get us a defensive Italian manager who needs experienced players and grace him with a squad of attack minded kids.
Walker-Peters as a free hit in UEFA squad terms because he's club trained isn't a bad shout, if the player is up for a squad role.Dream window

Poch being a 'Youth Whisperer' is a myth.... A tiresome one at this point.
When was the last time we bought someone worth the ticket price. A ready made game changer.
For me it would be Ndombele. World class talent, baller for France and Lyon then takes a contract with us and retires while still playing the dickhead.
Of those that worked out possibly Van Der Vaart but Ginola might be truly the last guy like that. It’s why I’d love a Cherki singing, been ages since we tried anything like that.
Give Poch a group of physically robust and resilient young-ish players who are experienced pros but hungry to prove themselves and kick onto a higher level and he will do great things. It’s not about 16 years olds, it’s about players 27/28 and under who are talented but rough edged. Whether it be Luke Shaw or Lallana at Saints, Dembele, Rose, Walker with us, Cucurella, Caicedo at Chelsea the results are clear as daylight. I would be shocked if he couldn’t do a lot with the likes of Udogie, Gray, Bergvall etc.

Blooding in kids, not so much.
Yeh I don’t have a problem with it as long as you’re bringing in good, quality PL ready players alongside the kids.Tyler Dibblings going to be a really good player. I’ll have a bet if anyone wants it that he’ll be in the England side within 3 years.
Don’t think the club should suddenly forget all young players. It’s about ability and potential. I thought at the time Gray was a bad signing as I didn’t see that much potential. I’d take another Bergval though.
Definitely need more experienced difference makers too but I’m not having it that Dibbling would be a bad move

If not it’s just the promise of jam tmrw which, when you haven’t got the toast to put it on, isn’t very helpful.
Who cares what this guy thinks?Flying dutchman on SC
As a dutchy I've always hoped he (Xavi SImons) would become the next Sneijder. As a realistic football watcher I don't think he reached nor will reach that level. Even though he's obviously better then a lot of our players, I don't think he's made for the PL and will struggle big time. I rather player a bit safer in our gambles with some lucky price money this year. .
