Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Me too. Fed up of young potential. We are always behind because of it. We could have not signed Gray and Odobert and spent £70 million on a top striker or wide player and I guarantee you we’d be in a better place. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but we’ve got it all wrong again. This summer is going to be horrendous in terms of incomings and everyone will get stronger while we stand still.

... and now that we have an entire roster of young potential in Odobert, Bergvall, Gray, Moore, Vuskovic, Sarr, Udogie, Donley, etc., we badly need some experienced, elite players to show them the way ... but oh no, we're after the next batch of potential. Jesus wept.

Spurs fans really say the dumbest things.

"Sane wouldn't start for us"

Sane would be a waste of money

100% agree. I dont like this Strategy at all.

But Levy will say teenagers dont stay teenagers. So Gray, Bergvall, Odobert, Tel (maybe) will all get older.
Probably shouldn't quote long dead baseball managers on a football forum, but Casey Stengal once told a reporter:

"Now that fella over there, he's 20 years old too. In 10 years, he's got a chance to be 30."

You figure Gray and Bergvall are already useful and Tel and Odobert have some experience now. Will they become elite players? Bergvall, probably so. Gray, a solid starter who will play into his 30's. Odebert could be solid or just fade out. Tell could be a star or a complete bust, but he won't be either anytime soon.

This definetley has legs. Levy special.

We do need a penetrative winger TBH. Alot of our wingers are a bit meh.

hahahahahahahahahahhahah

I'll tell you how this one goes. We will spend 40m plus on him and he will proceed to be invisible for his first few games. We as a fanbase will then pretend to be shocked and proceed to ask eachother "why didn't we sign a proven player" and "why didn't we just give Moore a chance".

Then the 'captain save a Hoe' group of the fanbase will inform everyone that "yeh but he's young, how about we be patient" whilst we are 15th place totally missing the point.

And thats why I bang my head at a brick wall with spurs. I want some experienced proven players.

Then they are loaned out and a year later we'll be like "I completely forgot about Bryan Gil"
