I get the impression the smoke of something will keep going. This just feels very different to times gone by. I mean they openly said they want investment, they didn’t say it couldn’t be a complete buy out or at least large minority stake.

Can you imagine after all the managers Levy has broken that this one is the one to break him? So torn over sacking Ange or keeping him and petrified of the manager hunt that he'd rather step down than deal with the problem?

Thing that is unique about Ange is that he's not thrown anyone under the bus. He's flat out resorted to delusion to be like "what losses mate? We haven't lost a ruddy thing. Won a cup like I said I would mate. Don't know what league you're on about"
Of course Ramos survived being binned after winning a trophy, and Poch survived being binned after losing one - despite the form, and some barbed moments where we was spreading his cheeks for united. Both of those got their P45 by starting the next season badly, which made it a formality (reasons and excuses etc aside).
So this time around it is that conflict of not having an easy way of doing it. Which I don't blame him for, as it is only an easy decision if you look at the league table. Seems (somehow) to have a lot of support from fans and players.

I dare not hope for Levy to be out, so that I can not be disappointed. That would be the most disappointy disappoint of all.
The rumour is defo still live but now it could be Oman/ME money. Who knows but it’s clear Staverley is at the front of it.

She only has several hundred million so needs a consortium behind her in order to buy in to or buy in total.
She’s not too fussed where the backing comes from as long as they back her vision and plan
