In the horrible taupe kits, remember those?
Gil hauled off at halftime and that was that for his Spurs career really, never started again.
Conte's quality, and his limitations, are clear as day. A rather silly thing to be arguing about.Technically, though, he still won fuck all there.

He has a habit of saying "If you give me the best team in the league and the biggest budget, I will won a trophy" which is a bit like claiming you can win any race as long as you have the biggest and fastest car/horse.
A lot of the managers who are "the best" on paper really do float by on that technicality.
Would anyone really say they remember Ancelloti at Everton, based on his record everywhere else? different job when you're not destined to win
Yea i dont undersrand this at all and its always the same. What had Poch achieved when we hired him?
Redknapp? An FA cup?
AVB?
Apart from Jose and Conte which trophy laden managers have we appointed in the last 20 years?
See the post whereFightingIllini said that team drew 3-3 at the Etihad
Yea i dont undersrand this at all and its always the same.
Jol - 1 Dutch cup
Redknapp - 1 FA Cup in 20 years of management
Poch - Nothing
It doesnt make you a bad manager, its just a reflection on who you've managed. Santini, AVB, Mourinho had all won league titles and were hopeless here.
Still doubling down on the casual homophobia then I see.
I think you have problems, is everything ok at home?
Disagree.I don't see it that way - outside the top six plus Villa and Newcastle, the remaining teams are all much of a muchness so would expect them to be filling 9th to 17th especially as Championship sides are cannon fodder for the bottom three. Let's say one or two of the established big 8 underperform (us and Man U) then there is an opportunity to grab 7th or 8th which Forest and Brighton did but I know what you're all going to say... they're massive clubs!!! much bigger than Brentford... so okay, what about the team that finished 9th. Bournemouth... they only got 11,000 fans to Brentford's 17,000. Their revenue was 161m compared to Brentford's 166m. They both lost their main striker but Bournemouth did spend about 9m more on player salaries than Brentford but by all accounts not so much apart to make a significant difference. Should we therefore rank Ireola's achievements ahead of Frank and be clambering for him to join us.
But he didn't "finish 5th" with that team, that's the point I wanted to make. It was part of a 5 game run with no wins
two games later it was pretty much the same squad he has now
Yeah this place is wild. If we keep Ange and get top 4 next year I still think most on here would want him gone. Results just get clearer and clearer
The overwhelming majority of fans I see online, irl and pretty much everywhere except and very vocal minority on here, want Ange to get a shot at Season 3.
he's been in hiding posting from his burner accounts for two weeks living on dodgy kofta and tooling around in a fiesta
Conte's quality, and his limitations, are clear as day. A rather silly thing to be arguing about.
He hasn't failed anywhere though. The man wins titles as long as you service him and give him what he needs.
Poch was an up and coming manager when we hired him... he hadn't reached his ceiling. Frank is 51. Has nothing new to offer the game and hit his ceiling long ago which is why no bigger club has ever seriously thought about offering him their manager job. What had Poch achieved when we hired him?
Redknapp? An FA cup?
AVB?
Apart from Jose and Conte which trophy laden managers have we appointed in the last 20 years?
That’s not what you said, you said he never used it.
And he did finish 5th having to use lineups like that, after selling Harry Kane.
Narratives can’t make that an untrue statement of fact.
i can't stand him as much as anyone and this just isn't true.Yeah this place is wild. If we keep Ange and get top 4 next year I still think most on here would want him gone.
It isn't narratives. The statement in the tweet was "Ange made this come 5th"
He didn't. He made it fail to win a game for 5 in a row.
He made a different arrangement of players come 5th.
I excluded Jose and Conte becausePoch was an up and coming manager when we hired him... he hadn't reached his ceiling. Frank is 51. Has nothing new to offer the game and hit his ceiling long ago which is why no bigger club has ever seriously thought about offering him their manager job.
Redknapp did win an FA Cup (more than Frank has achieved)
AVB won the Portuguese League (undefeated) the Portuguese Cup and the Europa League all in one season (more than Frank has achieved).
Even Nuno won the fucking Championship (again more than Frank has achieved)
But let's continue playing your game where I am not allowed to pick the two winningest managers in football today.
Apart from Jose and Conte which trophy laden managers have we appointed in the last 20 years?
How about Ange - next question?
