Management Thomas Frank

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We want to be data driven, just like Brighton

We want to have a decent coach. Just like Brentford.

We don’t want to act like a Big Club do we ?

Brentford fans seem distraught that Frank is leaving.
He established himself as a beloved, commanding figure there through his good work of nearly a decade, despite being a humble, low-key, unassuming personality.

Establishing command of the situation at Spurs is going to be his big challenge. He's a good enough tactician to succeed here, but is he a charismatic enough figure to survive in the Spurs Derangement Zone?

Massive pressure and skepticism will be coming at him both inside and outside the club.

Good luck :nunothumb:

Why does that matter? 2 of them had to do it eventually anyway.

Are you completely oblivious to the fact that four of our managers had to earn to to be in the Champions League? They did not have to do it. Mourinho never earned to be in the CL with THFC, and it was wrong to give him one of Poch's CL games imo.

And it matters because the timing is wrong. We hired Jol and 'Arry after Santini and Ramos went tits up respectfully. Not before. And that was good timing.

Levy makes better appointments after a manager clearly fails - not when the fan base is split.

Trying to reverse engineer Poch with Frank is akin to trying to reverse engineer Martin Jol with Ryan Mason.

There are multiple variables as to why Frank could go wrong, and playing Champions League football for the first time with zero European football experience is the biggest factor.

And that is why it matters.

He’s taken Brentford as far as he realistically can, working with one of PL's consistently lowest budgets. When Ivan Toney was banned, the general consensus was that Brentford would struggle to score goals. But Thomas Frank adapted, changed things up, and they somehow ended up scoring even more without Toney.

He’s known for being adaptable and pragmatic, with strong man-management skills and no rigid philosophy.

The real question is: how will he handle the jump from a smaller club, where he’s adored, to a bigger club with intense pressure from both the board and the fans?

I still believe that if he’s appointed, he’ll be sacked within two seasons, the same fate I think most new managers would suffer at this club.

You've one job Frank. Just keep the gravy train floating. Protect our share price. Bin off them silly cups and go all out to finish as high as you can in the league. We want European football every year but don't go trying to win them stupid trophies. Go out early and focus on the league again so we can get back into Europe and keep this cycle going. Look at that share price baby!! Don't start talking about trophies and success. Just keep the wages low and keep getting us into Europe baby. We're cutting costs by the way. I'm not signing anyone who wants more than 50k a week so find me some cheap championship players. Do the thing you did at Brentford and watch that share price rise baby!

COYS Daniel.
