If they're upset about the sacking of a manager who saw us finish 17th then they can fuck off with him.

If they cared that much they'd have tried harder.
They won’t know how to behave with an actual coach. It’ll bring back flashbacks of being in school and being given more than one instruction at a time.

No sympathy for them: the performances across the season were rotten.

I'm probably repeating myself here, so apologies in advance.

We could have had a reasonable league campaign and still challenged for the Europa League - it was never 'either or' and honestly we are a better squad than this narrative that if we finished 7th we couldn't possibly win the EL.

I hope this doesn't sound too deluded or entitled but we genuinely deserve better than that.
Phomesy Phomesy articulated it best for me, not so much as the actual deed but how we went about it. I was 'Ange Out' before the final but think he had done enough to be given another chance. Probably not logical thinking but that trophy win put a rose-tint on my vision.

Not logical thinking at all

But Ange did well to get us over the line in Bilbao

Club legend 😂

We clearly weren’t wrong or the club would’ve kept him. They obviously don’t see things your way at all. And I guarantee he doesn’t get hired by some big club either which will tell you how the football world views his time here.

The guy did an absolutely incompetent job for the majority of time he was here, he got a lovely run for a cup and managed to win it by playing the opposite of his football.

Well done him but thank god the board aren’t thick enough to dedicate our future to that shite like a section of the fans are.
Mate, the last time Spurs won a European trophy the miner’s strike was in full swing, the 3D printer was just invented and the Macintosh personal computer was the next big thing.

He isn’t a Tottenham legend, he’s your Saint.

I keep seeing people say we're a cup team, or want to be one. This year:

Fa cup, extra time to beat Tamworth, lost to Villa. First decent team we faced beat us.

Carabao, beat man City and man utd, humiliated by Liverpool. Man City result a good one.

Europa league, win. We cannot retain this. We beat second/third rate sides and got a couple of good results against Frankfurt. You can only beat what's in front of you and we did that. I have no problem with winning it obviously. But we are not winning the champions league.

What cups are we banking on next season to carry on us being a 'cup Team?'

The league, we finished 17th, pretty much our worst season in every metric. Do the same this year because we've already proved we can't fight on multiple fronts, and no Europe the following season because we won fuck all, but the players still love playing under the manager we have a chance to progress, we have to take it.

Again, thanks for the Europa Ange, and I truly do wish him the best in his career, I don't dislike the guy. But he is not the man to elevate us from here.

I have just seen Poch at Heathrow airport arrivals T3.
