I bet if I trawl back through your posts you said the same thing about Ange until he hurt your feelings with the cupped ear thing.

Back in the real world this squad is a mess, now we lose valuable time we needed to be spending on transfers appointing yet another manager Who is probably going to last 18 months

It also did not mean that Ange could never improve, especially with better substitutes. I don't back Frank more than Ange to win the Super Cup, or any cup for that matter. I'd rather finish 17th with a trophy than 9th. But I didn't think that we'd repeat our relegation form next season anyway and if we did it would be correct to have brought in the likes of Frank.

What is Frank going to do this season that Ange couldn't do? Finish top half? We'll never know.

Problem with your argument is that you assume Frank will finish 9th and won't win a cup. I mean that is where he is at now in Brentford and I'm sure he wants to take the next step to a bigger club. So we need to give him a chance to see what he can do.


Note:
Brentford is a club that has over a 100 year history but had ZERO 1st tier football until Frank came and they never looked back.
That itself is also an achievement. Plus, other promoted teams tend to get relegated again but not Brentford and he has created a successful system there with the capital and personnel given to him.

Many of them are lucky to get significant league minutes in the PL and wouldn't be getting them elsewhere.

If anyone won't play for the new manager, sell them and call it addition by subtraction.

We will find players with a higher ceiling who want PL minutes at a big club.

There is no shortage of players at the level of those who currently take their wages.

Hate this idea we should let players hold us to hostage like this and we should somehow encourage it. No player or manager is bigger than this club.

But I don't believe any of it anyway. I remember Brennans post match interview after the final and they asked him about Anges future and it was noticeable how noncommittal he sounded about him.
