Stop making shit up.
There's no revolt. You will find there's not even any surprise. This has been an open secret for months, with only the Vince Harry and Oz beer types trying to make it go away. Ange is a marmite character some dug him some of the players even ones he championed are not that convinced. No one who wasn't thinking of leaving is going to suddenly want out. There will 100% be no mass transfer request. In fact some will be more likely to want in.

Not really. I’m sure they’ll get over it eventually
Honestly I thought the same thing. I could be underestimating dressing room dynamics and squad harmony but I thought the professional in professional footballer implied professionalism.

Surely they'll still want to do well and try their hardest under any manager. If not then the problem is them no?

Fuck me. We were in the Champions League final not long ago. Now 8th is seen as progress... I give up.
I know it’s dogshit but this is a side who finished 17th last season losing 22 games, owners who haven’t shown an ounce of ambition regardless of circumstances (world class squad in a title race, champions league finalists etc). I think it would be unfair to blame the coach if he manages to drag us to 8th place given the state of the team and club. What makes you think we should expect more given the state of our current squad and owners?

Anything less than fifth in the league next season is a failure.
Last night you appeared to have given up, but now that you've had a nice rest, I see you're still desperately hanging on there. Bravo!

Both Pep and Klopp won trophies at previous clubs in hard leagues. They then spent years winning. Not really the same profile as Frank is it? Fergie is one in a generation, who knows if he would have had the same success elsewhere? Probably but we will never know.

There are some managers, that can get a championship club promoted, and the collective drive of that crop of players and coach to pull up trees and compete, taking nothing for granted is something to behold. That same coach then going to a ‘bigger’ club, with players with a different mindset, level and attitude can often implode. Would the same be true of Frank the same? Who knows but it’s a very different situation and there are more failures than success stories.

Err...not true for Klopp though

Klopp managerial career
at Mainz :

Bundesliga division 2 : Began his career in struggling Mainz in 2001
Bundesliga division 1 : promoted to main league in 2004.
Bundesliga relegation : Klopp got relegated in 2006/07 season. Failed to win promotion in 2007/08

at Dortmund :
2008 : took the job in a bigger club with better resource but underperforming
2011-12 - Won the title
2012-13 - CL final

At Liverpool
Rest is history & well known

So, if anything,Frank journey has a lots of parallel to Klopp if anything

Again, I never compared Frank man to man with Pep or Klopp. Like the other poster said I was comparing only their longitivity in one club

Frank is better than that.

Not my choice but i think he’s a decent coach

Silva is like cutting both bollox off, being forced to eat them and told they are sautéed new potatoes
Is Silva that bad? He seemed to have overperformed with Fulham. I didn't watch them much but when I did they played alright I thought.

Although I liked what I saw from Brentford more the few times I saw them this season.

Yes, but it's not only about the money. :levyhands:
I think he's dug himself into a cushty position with Brentford, the supporters like him, no great pressure to win anything, not bad wages for a relatively small club. He'd be mad to walk away from that to come here IMO.

He's going to be expected to be challenging at least for 5th, has to use the squad for 4 competitions, doesn't really have any attacking players who are game changers, supporters likely to be on his back, doesn't really have anyone who suits the role of captain, doesn't know what's happening in the transfer window. players that seem to be often injured. protests going on to get the Chairman ENIC out, lots if derby matches that he'd be expected to win.

Is it worth it?

Alasdair Gold’s just said the same…
Really not sure I buy it as an issue tbh

Players are mercenary

As soon as the new manager starts working with them, fresh ideas/routines, win a game or two - they'll be on board

They're all used to change, I think this whole player revolt thing is clickbait and no more

They had a good relationship with Ange, an incredible experience in Bilbao, and are sad to see him go and are wishing him well. A pretty human response, hardly a mutiny...

(Although.... Anyone think Maddison is conspicuous in his silence?)
