We finished fifth the previous season with a lot of this squad and are arguably a stronger squad now. Don't need too many new players brought in to be back around that 4th,5th or 6th spot again.
Think I might actually shit myself with excitement if we get Mbeumo. Could potentially be our best right-sided player of the last 20+ years if he came here and continued the monstrous growth he has been showing at Brentford this season.
Are you agreeing with him though? Doesn't sound like it - you've only named success stories, I think his point is that you don't know until they are in the prem, as there are as many, if not more, failures than success stories - for every Wharton there is a Scott (and probably far more Scotts than Whartons). It's too easy too just focus on the successes - you've got to be lucky enough to get one...

Plus the PL have been unable to close the loophole of clubs selling off parts of their club like Chelsea did, and owners just investing at free will. So Ratcliffe could sell off a business and invest £200m quite easily. The league is about to become more fucked.
