Personally don't think that was controversial. He did stick a bit of a chicken wing at the ball and got an advantage from it.

Anyway, Tuchel is having a bit of a 'mare thus far. End of season or not, team lacking any desire or oomph to it and no idea what sort of tactical identity he wants to instil. And his selections/set up of defence and midfield so far have been utterly rancid.

People will go way over the top as always. But some of Tuchel's decisions so far have been baffling to say the least. Not just players he's picking but also his in game management. Why when you're losing 1-2 would you take off your striker for yet another number 10? If you don't want to play Toney then just leave Kane on.

We would never have lost this game under Southgate.

Disclaimer number 1: I'm not English.
Disclaimer number 2: You really shouldn't judge on a few matches.

All the same, here's a thought.

Maybe, just maybe there's more than meets the eye to Henderson's fresh call-up.

Mayby, just maybe Tuchel's first impressions, when travelling to club matches and meeting players, was: Shit, there's no REAL leaders here.

Maybe, just maybe the England team is filled to the brink with wanna-be leaders who are in fact spoiled brats, who have been told since they were 17 or younger that they were the best thing since sliced bread, that they're at the best clubs in the world, that they're on their way to the best league in the world, and most importantly have been paid obscene money since that early age.

All while stepping up to the pressure of finally making sure "It's coming home".

What about the youth at Barca, Real and other top top clubs around Europe? I hear you say and ask. Make of those clubs what you will, but they - imho - have a stronger club culture than the biggest English clubs do (these days). It's been ruined by many but especially Chelsea and City throwing money at youth players like there's no tomorrow and stockpiling players.

Culture change (and possibly rule changes) NEEDED is my outside view. Otherwise it is never coming home!

Over the top. We have won 3 qualifying games without getting out of 2nd gear, and while tonight is a poor loss, people need to remember that there were only 2 regulars in the starting 11 (Kane and Rice) up against a decent and highly motivated side. They had a much more settled team and it showed.

Pointless judging England now, these players couldn't give a toss, they all wanna go on holiday, horrible time to play a friendly.

That said my man needs to stop fucking about and stop picking Henderson and Walker and nonsense like that, absolutely poinless.

Tuchels BM were poor and uninspiring. Kompany improved them a lot.

I was watching England win the cricket and forgot this was on but watch g on +1 and seen Eze look absolutely amazing with some lovely tricks and flicks and interplay.
